05/4/2017 14:39 | Once they are in a position to report, I think they will go for it whichever market happens to be open. I suspect they will give an interim update (well has reached TD etc...) and if payzones are present, they'll confirm preparations for immediate flowtesting upon which a further release will follow a couple of weeks later. 05/4/2017 13:03 | dean I like vog but i dont rate the potential same as sdx, SDX are drilling 7 shallow wells in morrocco in H2 2017, free cashflow will still be $31m at the end of year. Three of those are development wells and two are appraisal wells, they are planning to double production. At the moment they are generating $13m free cash flow per annum on 4.5mmcf, they are selling gas at $9.50 per mcf.. I dont see vog generating this, vog are currently spending $50m to increase gas production, but margins at sdx are way too superior dont forget SDX are debt free here... This will be over a £1 soon, imho | neo26

05/4/2017 12:56 | The Share Magazine, Paul Welch interview has been posted a few times, so here's a summary of the discussion: The opening comment was to my mind very relevant "We are kind of a 2 country focussed company at the moment, Egypt and Morocco." The "at the moment" leads me to believe that in the not too distant future we will also have a presence in Tunisia. In Egypt we have 2 producing assets generating around 4000 BOPD and S.Disouq, the exploration play, with a prospective 3-400 BCF of gas and between 50-100 million B of Oil. In Egypt N.Gemsa production cost is $7.34 per barrel and they get Brent less 5%. In Meseda it's $8.50 per barrel and we get Brent less 30%. In Morocco we have 1 gas generating asset Sebou, producing around 1000 BOPD equivalent and 1 exploration play Lalla Mimouna. In Morocco we get $9.50 per MCF. SDX plan to grow both organically and inorganically. In Egypt (Meseda) they believe they can double production to between 8-9000 BOPD and in Morocco (Sebou) they believe they can quadruple production, taking it from 6 million cuft per day to 24 million cuft per day. They are looking for more deals similar to the Circle acquisition, which has increased production by 250% and reserves by 65%. The deal has a 16 month payback and will increase cash flow by $22 million in 2017 and $28 million in 2018. The final drill cost for SD1 is estimated at $3.7 million of which SDX is liable for 55% of $700,000, a net £300,000. Exceptional risk/reward. Whenever Paul Welch starts talking about this SD1, he starts to look like the cat that has got the cream. He stated that they have recently spud the well and that it will take between 30-45 days. 2 targets, the shallow Abu Madi gas play and the deeper oil play. He states that they will more than likely make an announcement when we are half way through in 2-3 weeks from now and then hopefully a second one a couple of weeks later. Well, read into that what you will but the interview probably took place on Friday 31st march and was published the following Monday. They have now been drilling for almost 2 weeks and should be passing through the Karf el Sheikh. This horizon will firm up their model for the prospect and could well be an explanation for the sudden share activity. | captain james t kirk

05/4/2017 12:43 | Great overview | nasnas1
05/4/2017 12:07 | There is some serious potential in this well. We have a partner that already produces oil from AEB zone. I posted this a couple of weeks ago. -------------------- cashandcard 22 Mar '17 - 12:02 - 696 of 911 2 0 Edit IPR are SDX's partner, carrying the majority of the well cost. On their website it says; "IPR Energy Resources, Ltd. acquired from Sea Dragon Energy Inc. a 45% working interest in the South Disouq Concession, IPR's first in the Nile Delta and first working with EGAS. The block comprises 1,275 km² of area and is located in the prolific Abu Madi – Baltim trend. The block is estimated to contain more than 1TCF of resource potential (P10 )". IPR also produce oil from the AEB zone in western desert, one of SDX's deep targets in this well. Cash | cashandcard
