i am a major PI, almost notifiable. However, the issue is that we keep drilling to stand still and we have no real exposure to the increased in oil prices...

Something has to change strategically.

Maybe, one day, an SDX exec chairman will actually deliver. I shan't hold my breath

Let's look at jays last 2 years after his stress leave after destroying aminex share price (that's another story initself). His mates bought nuog. Needed someone to front it. In comes jay the hero with his depth of o&g experience and contacts. First rto attempt was a bin bag recycling business that failed taking 95pc off the share price Quick raise then suspension. A year later a locked in investor brought the idea, was it o&g you ask, no it was a minow company in devon that installs rubber barriers to ships to stop piracy, we live in the 21st century with state of that rt military that can protect ships within hours. Guess what the rto failed. Jay had been mr professional and kept shareholders updated, oh no ha g on he hasn't. So you ask about relationships, clearly hasn't got any, credibility in the o&g space, I imagine he is a laughing stock.... Destruction of sp, bags of that experience. His bio states he is director of multiple firms, errr what are they exactly, one suspended, one dorment under the same umbrella..Best of luck here.

The short term test for Jay B is simple- can he get the share price up- whether through him buying shares (that would be a novelty), setting out a convincing strategy (that would be a novelty) or bringing in some serious institutional support (that would be something we haven't seen for a few years)

Long term test is create value, but that won't happen if the short term test is failed.

The NEDs look sensible- Aleph/technical/ tough and city experienced- but this will all be about what impact the Exec Chairman can make. I think he is just a bullshi$$er, but he needs to make a mark in the next few days (get your wallet out JB and buy some shares- prove me wrong).

They must surely start buy backs or someone else will try to take them over cheaply

tbh, I would like to see some buy backs now. If they have the FCF to support it... Shareholders who have been sitting tight and seen their wealth disappear should be rewarded.

ashkv, incorrect on production, it has declined in real terms, its just they've realized a better price for what they are selling.

Reviewed the results of this former hugely loss making and frustrating investment of mine - feeling smart for having sold in Early July close to 11p - and luckily invested in a firm that has given me 50% return from that point!!!

No change in cash, no change in production - useless CEO still at the helm, huge Capex just to stay in place - WTF is wrong with these Aleph guys... are they a money laundering front or actually looking to do something with SDX!!!

Hopefully for you chaps still invested this dead duck soon has a pulse...

Results are inline with what i expected.

Rather worrying there were some payment delays from the Egyptian Central Bank meaning they had to dip into their credit facility.

However, on the flip side, cash is 60% of the share price and capex was a few million lower than guided.

On the other hand, there was lower production as the assets are dying, hence the essential requirement for more drilling which sucks up all the cash...

Its a perceptual merry-go-round and something needs to change. No one is going to hold this on the never never... thus the price weakness and where we are now.

From today's RNS,

...."The wells will contribute immediately to production and revenue growth in an area where demand and gas pricing is robust."

..What's the 5 year record on gas sales in Morocco?

(edit) Looked it up*.....H1 '22 saw production of 638boepd (albeit down from 993boepd in H1 '21 due to suspension of a cust contract) versus 639boepd in H1 '17

I'd say gas demand is solid rather than robust!

*figures from '17 & '22 interims, '17 figures include COP prod'n

thanks for the pointer... I will more fully research his background. Although i would say we are in a strong cash position with a good EV, hence placing's are not my number one concern. Its more the use of our FCF that i am interested in, to scale the business.

Oooh where to start..... Multiple non o&g rtos failed with zero comms why, several placings, 99pc wiped off share price before suspension, further failures with no comms.....believe aminex went through similar before, I believe it was stress related leave, shame there was no mention of his nuog failure in his glossy bio..... Good luck holding here. Read the comms, appalling.
