You are right and i am not saying we are worth 100 billion . WHAT I AM saying is we are not worth 355 million either .

Today we are valued at less than 1/2 a percent of that figure can that be right ?
To get to lefrenes 5 percent we would have to re rate by approx 12 times the current share price .

And that does not give any value to the other 74 sites .

pmount,
pray tell, do you consider BHP to be one of the " clueless suckers " that have been drawn in to investing VERY HEAVILY in SOLG ?
If, as would appear to be the case, you are short, i suggest that you consider your current position very carefully.

No matter what happens over the next few decades, Copper and Gold ( and Silver ) will be needed in vast quantities. SOLG have a proven, recoverable resource of all 3.
The need for these commodities and precious metals are not a flash in the pan, they have been crucial in the development of the civilised world for thousands of years.

I feel that a finance deal will unlock the value, because it goes from being pie in the sky, to being an actual enterprise, and then perhaps worth at least 5% of the value of the buried metal.

mknight Its been pointed out often enough on here that the value of Solg's metal 'in the ground' is the NPV given by the PEA (or future BFS or whatever) Its nowhere near your figures. We need realism on here - not fantasies.

Also interesting that solgold of late seems to perform better when stocks are down .This i believe is due to traders trying to find the next quick 5 % .

Many stocks are 50 % down since the Coronavirus started . Where as a monthly chart for Solgold shows we are up .

One thing we do agree on lowtrawler is come the finace ..come atleast 50% increase in the share price .hopefully during the next 4 weeks we will have the 150 million which seems to be alot of money just to finish the DFS . .. can anyone tell me why it is so expensive .

It's worth reminding ourselves that there have been 4 phases of price reduction in the last 12 months.1. The court case challenging if we could mine.2. Boredom due to lack of news causing the price to drift3. Ecuador political turmoil where it looked like there could be a full scale revolution for a while.4. Coronavirus.Only the virus has not been fully resolved but we are still down over 50%. Most shares are now down about 20% due to the virus.

pob69, thank you again for sharing your finds, it's much appreciated.

investing in building goodwill amongst the community will pay back in spades in the future, also of course it's a positive thing to bring improvements to the lives of the locals. If the mining company looks after you, then you will look after the mining company.

Good to see gold back over $1650.

Here's today's example of Solgold's apporach to community support:

"SOLGOLD and its subsidiary Cruz del Sol in coordination with the MSP-Tiwintza Health Center developed the medical brigade at the Shuar de Tsuis Center in the Tiwintza canton of Morona Santiago province, Cruz del Sol supported with the logistics, river and land transportation of this remote shuar community; In addition to supporting the MSP with medical care for vulnerable groups in this community, a detailed explanation and training of COVID-19 was given to the decreed national health emergency."

My process: If there is a snide comment after one of my posts (which there often is and usually just a single sentence), I filter that person!

It leads to lots of filters. For curiousity, I will sometimes check what they post after one of my subsequent posts. It is a amazing that I seem not to have not lost anything from filtering their "wisdom".

Why bother with all that white noise? Life is too precious and short!

As a reminder of the investment thesis: Here is Nick Mather speaking at the end of last year

"...To some investors we are a mine development story, with Alpala the largest independent potential mine out there, for others we are still very much an explorer, with some high-quality gold but also highly attractive copper porphyry exploration targets"

"It is getting harder to communicate the value proposition with many competing high-quality assets at varying stages of evolution in our portfolio. The market isn't giving us much credit for the wider exploration licences in Ecuador, but discussions with strategic investors make it very apparent, that that's where they see the value too. The regional portfolio comprises 75 licences covering the length and breadth of the country"

"This allows us to prioritise targets and move on if we realise the prospectivity is not as expected, ergo no money wasted. Our discovery costs are $1.40 per gold equivalent ounce, which speaks for itself. The synergies we have are enormous based on years of on-the-ground experience and working closely with local communities, which created a lot of goodwill. Consequently, we have no interest in farming-out projects and giving away the upside but spinning them out and finding investors supportive of a particular situation is a topic we are considering carefully."

Gold has little value and it no ,onger gives value to currencies, which have value from confidence. Gold has little utility its all vapourware which is evaporating. Jmat.l sold there gold operations 5 years ago to Asahi h. I see the usual last gasps of rampers saying this will be taken over and well all be rich beyond our widdest dreams. Short to 10p then move on.

Red Cloud comments Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

"...As the mood surrounding base metal stocks is currently depressed, now could be a great buying opportunity for SolGold shares."

"...Our valuation for SolGold remains unchanged along with our rating and target. We are waiting until the PFS is released for Alpala before adjusting our estimates. We reiterate our BUY rating and a C$1.50 target based on 0.8x our C$1.88 NAV (8%). Upcoming catalysts include: 1) Alpala prefeasibility study results (Q3/20), 2) Alpala definitive feasibility results (2021) and 3) Potential metal streaming financing, which could act as major positive catalyst for the stock."
