If you could get funding for everything you need, SOLG would likely be worth over GBP 6Bn. However, the broker and most outside commentators, are banking on a takeover to exploit the resources. My best guess is that, in a takeover scanario, we would be able to extract around 20% of value - so around GBP 1.2Bn. However, none of the big players are interested in putting down big money at this stage of development. They would much rather fund progress towards BFS and then make a move.

If we didn't have the current market turmoil caused by coronavirus, I would expect the SOLG market capitalisation to be between GBP 600Mn and GBP 900Mn. That would fairly reflect a premium on expected takeover while not undervaluing the current position. Of course, if we discover another Alpala in the meantime......

Fantastic amount of minerals for such a small amount of money .. market cap around 360 million still difficult to believe .

Probably need the share price up to 40p before BHP will pay 69p . This would be achieved with 150 million funding which we should get news on in the next 4/6 weeks based on the business update Rns

My view is that it's probably added 10% NPV to the PEA. That's around what most people were expecting. The surprise hidden in the detail is the more conservative assumptions made in arriving at the resource estimates. It shows just how good Alpala is that they can add 10% while restricting their assumptions to something that looks very conservative.

A good rns, but seems to be low key, perhaps the CGP conundrum at play? Gold and silver are moving and even copper seems to be making an effort to get off its bottom as some miners reduce copper production. BHP and Newcrest are not holding stakes in this to simply walk away.

The size and attractiveness of Alpala has never been in doubt. It is the ability of SOLG to obtain funding to exploit it which is holding the price back. MRE3 simply confirmed how attractive Alpala is.

The muted reaction to MRE3 is what I expected. The hope was that it would come with additional announcements on funding and directors trades. I think we will probably settle in the 18p to 20p range today, probably at the lower end of that.If we get substantial directors trades, they should lift us over 20p.

A somewhat muted reaction from the share price so far. All good news from the announcement but funding is still hanging over us. If the directors buys are big, they may have more of an impact.
