RGP and LT

Its a false figure. A project can't be 'sold' for its NPV. The latter belongs to whoever already owns it. Anyone paying the NPV to the owner will end up making no profit whatsoever, because he will be paying away, upfront, the 'profit' he will make subsequently from owning it. You can see why from the formula NPV=Project profit-Capex.
(Don't forget the buyer, in addition to paying away the profit, will then have to shoulder the capex)
But it all depends on the discount rate used in the formula. A buyer using a lower discount rate (ie his cost of capital or risk premium is lower) would value the NPV higher, so COULD afford to buy, but only at a lower price, and HS NPV will be reduced by whatever he pays for it.

Agreed but do they want another excuse to hold it back until the deal with Cornerstone is done . If they do then they may hold it back using the excuse of CV .

Agues? I think know what you mean, my case it's me rheumatics. But I'm just a-guessing.

Predictive text? A constant source of unintended humour.

Thank you for the links you find and post here pob69

mknight, as per usual it's all agues. I see CGP as the chock that's stopping the wheel from rolling but it may not be so, since CGP are highly unlikely to come up with the money to fund their 15% of development costs? But again you never know, some outside interest might provide the money, so I guess settling CGP first makes for a less crowded field.

Very robust and positive interview with the returning Vice Minister of Mining Fernando Benalcazar Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

Post covid - "All these activities will be resumed with force, from the vice-ministry we will support all initiatives aimed at not wasting time, and continuing to grow in mining. Mining is the future economic pillar of Ecuador and we have to continue investing, and working together to achieve it."

"...And in all those projects whose activities have been suspended, the employment door will be reopened and work will continue, emphasizing the local workforce as the economic engine of the towns throughout Ecuador."

Interesting to see his confirmation that the functions of ARCOM and ENAMI will now be jointly authorised and controlled from his Vice-Ministry of Mines - better joined up thinking and his desire for accession to the EITI initiative!

"....Mining is a priority for him (Minister Ortiz) as much as legal security for investors"

"... Q3 2020 opening of mining cadastre"

Unless MRE3 gives 50% more metal, I don't see it impacting the price in any meaningful way. The size of a share purchase by NM might if it is large enough. They have until 8 April and we just have to be patient.

ntbb, I doubt the likes of BHP are too bothered by the current price, BHP and chums can just buy Solg when it's convenient at whatever price is acceptable to the owners. I suspect that all heavy duty players want to see CGP kicked into touch first? Then the brakes start to come off with the various MRE3 et-al until the purveyors of umbrellas are satisfied enough to fund the first mine.

Given current events, in due course I'm expecting commodities to rise against fiat currencies.
