30/8/2019 09:18 | re - bid It allways can be at this low price. but the main reason for the fall it seems someone place 8 x250,000 plus some more on the offer of the order book (wating to sell ) for some time (weeks ) , but have now been removed. So the order book has been positive since and the bounce is on. | master rsi

29/8/2019 18:47 | lefrene: I first started investing in SOLG 18 July 2012, I am sorry if you were alarmed that I might be using comments on these blogs to influence my investing, I assure that is not the case. I agree that SOLG has given the impression that it cares for the environment and I am sure that it does. It is estimated that to return the mined area to pristine rain forest would take around 100 years. So, as you say, turning the land into farmable areas might be a solution. All this is just my opinion as I am not an expert either. Keep up with your interesting slants on SOLG which I have been reading for a good number of years now. ATB nb I do follow pob69, he has come up with a lot of stuff that we would otherwise have missed. | ![]() trev1223
29/8/2019 18:19 | If you had sold half like gary had advised at 22p then you Would now be in the toilet being sick . Thanks Gary... Lucky most are not so Stupid. Tomorrow should be a góod day .. I like the way the share price was moved down so the UT Could be bought cheaper and those 2x1 million trades cleared . | ![]() mknight

29/8/2019 16:19 | trev1223, thank you for the compliment, but believe me I know very little indeed about what is really going on in this company, please don't make trading decisions on my utterings. pob69 is the chap to follow, he has skills at unearthing things from the net. Solg has demonstrated an excellent social conscience track record so far, and I would expect them to have a plan to 're-green' any areas that lose their existing cover. After mining it's possible that some land might be returned as level areas useful for agriculture, which in a mountainous country would presumably be welcome. | ![]() lefrene
29/8/2019 16:08 | agreed, and the poison from this type of mining is not only a risk to the fragile environment in Imbabura region, but this has the potential to spill over into Columbia. I can't see the government moving forward with this now, the issue of the drill licenses will be most telling action. | shabadi
29/8/2019 15:42 | shabadi: This has been a concern of mine since beginning of the year. The burning of the amazon forests has encouraged the green, climate change brigade to up their protests. I understand that much of the gold deposits are near the surface at Cascabel which means open cast mining and destruction of large areas of rain forest. While block caving is more expensive, the mining is at least underground. I have a deep respect for lefrene and value his observations but IMO surface deposits may not be as advantageous as we once thought. | ![]() trev1223
29/8/2019 15:25 | Let's get all this nonsense behind us. Let NM & JW get on with making us money. Buy & Hold. GLA | ![]() mam fach
