Is $2.84 a sign of the times?

Ian Howells, senior vice-president for Honda in Europe, told the BBC: "We're seeing unprecedented change in the industry on a global scale. We have to move very swiftly to electrification of our vehicles because of demand of our customers and legislation.

Another large trade of 1.87 million

Someone has bought and someone has sold

Positive is someone has taken 1.87m off someone who wanted out and the price remains the same.

Good to see you are starting to understand that the gold and copper prices are really important when it comes to mining .

Those that post when there is a nice movement in gold and copper already knew that it is important .

I am more than happy for peeps to post that gold or
Copper is moving up or down and even more so when they include technical chart information .

I am bullish for au and cu, for completely different reasons. So a large move in both , which I see as quite possible over the medium term (2-5 yrs) would be good for solg. What drives me nuts are postings saying gold is up $5 or cu up 2c which I think we can all agree is irrelevant.

And where is today’s spot price on the forward copper curve?

And gold?

Since I`m here by fat finger the same is true for gold and SOLG has a lot of that too.

While we can`t ignore the present price of $2.83 which might just be an indicator of things to come as the price seems to be on an upward trend and will affect some trades, you are right that it is the assumptions about supply and demand for copper over the longer term which will determine the market for copper and companies like SOLG. The value of the drill bit products will be determined by one`s perspective.

That what I meant Jerry. Of it breaks through the resistance it opens itself up to a decent 10% move that will have an effect on calculations

1425 WILL make a diff. 1225 WILL make a diff. But whether its 10 higher or lower each day WONT!!
Solgold is exposed to the drill bit not the day to day movement of the price of Au or Cu.

On the Cu front ANTO tends to lead the copper price, to the downside and the upside.
ANTO has broken to the upside against copper price since the end of December '18.

LOokingfor copper to break through resistance before i think they will rejig the PEA numbers too much. Certinaly looking better though for metals if the dollar can continue to weaken

You can`t ignore 25 million oz of gold except perhaps by thinking of it in terms of CU equivalent but it will be in the calculations wherever it resides.

Todays trades IMO show that we are in the grip of ALGO trading for the moment and with a lack of additional facts on the corporate front, private investors will have very little influence.

Gold now up over $100 in less than 4 months.
Someone tell me that this won't play heavily into the sensitivity analysis for the PEA.

More interestingly than the fact there is a seller or trying to guess the sellers size - biggest volume going through since November 2018, triple the average daily which means??? Someone is buying size on a very dull day in the market. I wonder why? News imminent.

And i am the one who you shoot down by guessing which is what you are doing now by guessing there are icebergs of 12 million shares waiting to be sold .

Interesting .

Curious to know who the large seller is. THis isnt just a case of loading the sell side to make the order book look bad to keep a lid on the price. SOmeone clearly has stock to dump.

IF the icebergs on teh book are of a similar size then it is about 12 million we need to clear.

IMpressive that a 500k was hiding at the 37 level. Must admit I'm a little surprised at just how much stock this seller has to get rid of. The order book is loaded to the sell side but even then it is probably at least 4 times as much stock to sell than is actually showing

Yep, by the way ADVFN commentary tends to go few PIs seem to have the patience for the resources game. (And perhaps too folks forget or ignore how long business generally takes to get done).
And, thanks for the reminder, must head far eastwards soon to catch my share of the sun!
Gold looking good for the bars I keep under the floor.

ODR, one hopes that there is at least another £80 billions worth in the other sites! :¬) In the meantime gold seems to be on the rise perhaps reflecting the worry that fiat currencies are running short of options to deal with the next recession. We might even see a workable deal between China and the USA which perhaps would boost demand for copper?

Whoever ends up exploiting the Solg portfolio will have a district that will likely yield for over a century, it's a prize worth having and all those big hitters know it.

The waiting is tedious, but as I've been in NZ for 3 months I at least am sitting in the sunshine, which beats sitting out a UK winter. :¬)
