Ok, thanks for the history on Canada quote, lefrene.
Yes, they have many options. I was just wondering if they had “voiced” any particular ones.... having already diluted to a couple of “greedy behemoths” ;-)!

Solg went to some lengths to join the TSX in order to be in the jurisdiction of Canadian institutional investors. Presumably there was some purpose in this. By moving towards being an operator they demonstrate that they can extract full value for themselves, they have options other than selling themselves to some greedy behemoth for small change. The expertise is available for hire in the form of mining engineers, the board have a great deal of experience in mining. The biggest problem is controlling the costs, hence the PEA.

I don’t think it’s clear, certainly not to me, what the development strategy will be.

Does SOLG build, own, operate (Alpala)? Does it dilute to an operator retaining a participating equity interest? Does it sellout altogether and/or take a carry, royalty interest?
Is it an explorer and promoter or does it have aspirations to be an operator? The latter doesn’t seem credible as it has no expertise and doesn’t appear to fit with the Newcrest and BHP equity holdings.
Have management discussed this anywhere?

I imagine the criteria of the PEA is being dictated by potential Canadian lender Banks? If the plan is to borrow to exploit the resource, then the lenders will be calling the shots, and perhaps causing delays as they demand more info?

Increased drill kms does not translate quite as neatly into increased resource. THey drilled a lot more than double the acreage to double the resource between MREs. We are drilling more on the edges of Alpala now which i would presume is a lower copper content than the core.

A littel dispapointed not to have the Q1 deadline for PEA reaffirmed. Get it out there and then start slotting the other factors into place

I got the impression that there is a fair amount more work to do on the PEA including, I guess, getting as much assay information from the latest drilling meterage.
So maybe not in the next two or three months.

Interims from $SOLG.L $SOLG Solgold #ecuador

-Confirmation that Drill testing of the Aguinaga and Trivinio target has commenced, (which is new).
-Restatement that SolGold holds 100% ownership of Blanca though Carnegie Ridge Resources S.A (as opposed to $CGP viewpoint).
-Still awaiting drilling permits to enable scout drilling on emerging high priority targets.
-No explicit statement that PEA will be in Q1, just within Financial Year ending 30 June 2019.
-Based on the Company’s net working capital position, it will have sufficient funds to meet these commitments and manage its current portfolio of projects.
-With the retirement of John Bovard, the Board is currently in the process of assessing potential Board appointment candidates having regard to a range of commercial, regulatory and governance issues. (BHP representation?)

NM mentioned in hi webinar that he thought 10-20% to come at Alpala so I'd be cautious
on more but still waiting for a big update soon.

Thought that was the PEA for a minute! Don’t think anything in there moves the needle too much.

Whats still to come

MRE was based on 133,000m

Today we have drilled 180,000 which we donot have the results for .if i am correct thats approx 33 percent of the last MRE . Which could increase it by a simular amount . And if that was not good enough SOLG are still finding the resource is getting bigger .

It seems NM is holding all the news back .. i bet the PEA will be unbelievable.

The spend is up as one might expect with the extra drilling. Back of envelope using indicated and inferred figures suggests $90 billions worth of metal in Alpala.

It's all a little quiet before the storm so here is Keith Barron of $ARU Aurania talking about benefits of exploration in #ecuador at VRIC January 2019. $SOLG.L $SOLG Solgold $CGP gets a mention from 2:00mins with reference to the bunfight between BHP and Newcrest. Worth watching to re-enforce the recent derisking of jurisdiction investment opportunity.

More buys than sells this week and gradually increasing pressure. May be a sell yet to come through today to explain the lack of upward move in the share price 100k sitting on L2 offer at 37.2p but if we go through that we'll hit the 38's fairly quickly imho.

I think 507 was referring to institutional buyers, not PI's

First paragraph agreed .

Institutions are looking all the time they do not just buy stocks with dividends
and there are alot of them . Why start buying now and not before .. Maybe they are
changing sectors moving out of Tech and into mining for example there are many reasons
they move in and out of Stocks it could be one of ours are adding to their holding .
As i said before maybe it is a private individual who has a large amount of money and likes the stock .

What we should be asking ourselves is why are we not buying more and not be surprised when someone else is ..

Why sell now . again maybe a fund bought at 21p and wants out .. maybe Cornerstone does not want our share to go up maybe someone is looking to buy as and wants the share price steady .

all i was saying is this stock IMHO is a great buy even more when you can buy millions by the look of it at 37p ..

Not hard for them if they want to get hold of a mega tier 1 asset 507.

I think you are way off the mark here.

QUestion you need to ask yourself is at what point is there going to be more demand to buy than more supply to sell. At the moment there are more shares being sold than are being bought so the price cant move up. UNtil those that wish to offload have managed to it will be very difficult for us to move much. 35-38.5 range

INstitutionl holders have had plenty of opprtunity to pick up shares at 35.5-37p of late. Hasn't been too much trouble for them if they wanted them. Why dont they? INstitutions are limited in terms of who they can buy shares in. SOLG pays no dividends adn earns no revenue so hard one to have a large position in.

Mark Bristow CEO of Barrick Gold just interviewed on Bloomberg. Will Be actively looking for Tier1/Tier2 gold/copper assets that “fit their criteria”

It would put an interesting new aspect on proceedings if the largest Gold Corp in the world were to step into the fray would it not? Not saying they will of course but an interesting thought none the less given all the consolidation going on in the space right now?

Can't see it myself.

Its not fantasy.

If an institution or any large buyer can pick them up at 37p then it is more like christmas .

If someone wants to sell at this price then it is better to get them into strong hands that know the value .
