26/11/2018 07:16 | Strang had enough. | rayrac
24/11/2018 12:07 | We can but hope edegin. The share price here is atrocious and selling ukog shares has made the share price even worse. Live in hope | doerx2
23/11/2018 14:38 | Not sure about the new management here. They seem just as bad as Ritson was. The share price is not liking their new approach, probably because they aren't doing anything, other than selling some UKOG shares, which I hope they've stopped doing as it's a live asset and the only one with action. No news on anything or signs that they are monetising our assets. No presentations or new ideas. I think there was an investors meeting last night but wasn't much of a performance or strategy update or anything. Poor, imo. Seems they are waiting and hoping for things to happen for them. | whoppy
21/11/2018 18:07 | SWALA may bring down drilling costs for those involved in exploration drilling in Tanzania in 2019 by ".. exploring the possibility of rig -sharing with other operators..." SWALA RNS 20-11-2018 --- One of those paid for analyst reports, that suggests on-going strong demand for Helium. 21-11-2018 ".. Helium market is projected to rise at a stable rate and will post CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 333% during 2018-2023......." | stonefold
19/11/2018 22:38 | I think Horsehill is not viable unless the price of oil is $1,000 bopd. Even then I doubt it. | kevjones2
15/11/2018 11:13 | How many shares have we got in ukog. I hope not many but have a feeling we have loads. Pos | doerx2
12/11/2018 10:22 | Directors holding £1.3 million worth of shares at the current price. That's certainly significant skin in the game. They must be strongly convinced they can drive the share price higher. | cf456
11/11/2018 22:11 | Apart from a day in August Thursday and Friday were the highest volume days in the last year, and significantly so. Should make for an interesting week ahead..... | dbfromgb
09/11/2018 09:08 | The big problem here is the granting of the drilling license. When, and under what terms? This is Tanzania, so no-one knows. | divmad
08/11/2018 14:58 | Looks like this is ready for take off. | whoppy

03/11/2018 21:42 | it may be world class but you dont get paid for mining the stuff..rio tinto exited zimbabwe for that reason..most countries are corrupt not that uk is much better in some respects | temmujin
03/11/2018 20:03 | If you want World Class resources then Africa is the place to be, according to Sprott This is from the 26th October 2018 | cperkin
03/11/2018 09:47 | i think helium one are drilling in tanzania too...doesnt inspire confidence trading with these guys | temmujin
31/10/2018 06:53 | As I understand it Barony solo have around £7.5 million cash so over half their current market cap. This is enough for the C-1 drill and the 3D seismic. If the 4 independent sources of the gas demand are correct (being 4 independent ones then I see no reason not to think so) then they will need to drill C-1 asap and at least one other well in 2019 and the other 4 in 2020/21 Each additional well after C-1 has a price tag of $4.15 US, thats drill flow and complete connection so they will need the bank funding by Mid 19 depending on if the TPDC or the JV pay for the 33km pipe. | cperkin
31/10/2018 06:30 | lets face it whatever you do in tanzania the government there will take it eventually..not to be trusted..africans remember the slave trade and want pay back | temmujin
30/10/2018 23:18 | Hardly a success story....not necessarily Strands fault I might add Katoro gold | rich2006
30/10/2018 21:56 | Thanks cperkin. I was going to look them up, but agree with you that this news is very re-assuring. I almost said exciting, but I have been in Solo for a very, very, very long time. | barony
30/10/2018 19:42 | post 10974 - here is the rest of the article, these guys are merchant bankers. Now they wouldn’t be doing this if the license wasn’t coming and the farm out going ahead.... "SOLO HIRES MARKET COLOSSUS TO FINANCE DRILLS" "Three months after appointing its new non-executive chairman Alastair Ferguson, British junior Solo Oil is gearing up to finance its work programme for the Ruvuma basin in Tanzania. The company announced on October 29 that it had appointed London consultancy firm Strand Hanson as its financial advisor. Solo's stake in the Kiliwani North gas field was recently increased when junior Bounty Oil and Gas was unable to keep up on payments. Strand Hanson is present in 27 African countries. The market giant, which is chaired by the hereditary British peer Anthony Tudor St John, previously helped gold mining firm active in Tanzania Katoro Gold (formerly Opera Investments) with its IPO on the LSE." I agree with Edgar | cperkin
30/10/2018 12:37 | Edgar, I like your optimism. However, it does seem a helluva long time and maybe our market cap relects that uncertainty. | barony |
