Strange thing is, you would usually fill an order by widening the spread making it expensive to buy while still good value to sell. I have never seen a complete block on buying. Really don't know what to make of it.

Yes i like billions ...

In my experiance they cant hold off buying and the last 30 mins it normally goes bonkers when something good is about to happen .

Happened at kodak the other day ..

I've not come across this type of trading situation before and so struggle to interpret what may be happening. To not enable any buying for such an extended period, I would have thought there must be an off book purchase being worked.

Its funny as many think that if there is very little volume then there wont be news . Perhaps we should be thinking the other way . No volume means news tomorrow .😃🐕👞

No shares available .. makes one think those naughty people with the shares know something and donot want to sell only buy .

Even when insider investigations do happen, it tends to be against the little people rather than the big players. Ask Piers Moron! As editor at the daily mirror, the writers of their share tips column bought shares in Viglen the day before tipping them in the paper. Piers also bought shares through the same broker at the same time. The writers went to jail. Piers was not prosecuted. The writers claim Piers edited the piece and suggested the trading on it.

2k at 26.45
36k at 26.50
10k at 26.85
25k at 26.95

Not many but they will probably become more available as the price rises.

Could be those that are in the know have seen an Rns logged for tomorrow .

How they have this info i have no idea but they always seem to know before us .

Level 2 showing you can buy 12000 at 26.45 and 40k at 26.50 .

So you can buy .not many but they are there should you want them .

London Stock Exchange is showing only 2 sales totalling 1067 shares at 25.97p since 10.34 this morning...an hour ago...no buys showing...no auction taking place...so there must be one big buyer hoovering shares at well above the offer IMHO...

Perhaps a big order to fill at 26.25p? If so good to see somebody wanting to buy in volume. Copper has firmed up lately and the much advertised looming copper shortage might finally be happening, even if 5 years later than advertised. If only Solg would get ahead of the game for once!

Sold POG early in the week and bought here now the Standstill Agreement for BHP will end Mid-Oct

I can sell 100k at 25.71 but cannot buy 10k which is now NT (Negotiated trade)...a tight market now for some reason

Our current share price is mainly down to the remaining execution risks relating to Alpala and our relationship with BHP / Newcrest looking strained. There has always been a reluctance for the market to place any value on our other exploration sites and the current drilling program sets out to change that.

There is an outside chance that a bid in excess of £2bn will be made before confirmation of new resource. Effectively, the bidder would gamble we have at least 1 other viable site. If we find a 2nd site, any successful bid would be well in excess of £2bn and bids would be far more likely.

Porvenir is seen as a more promising location than La Hueca but exploration can surprise. All shareholders are dreaming about that 2nd discovery but we must be patient. Even successful initial drilling could take several months to confirm the size of the find.

Meanwhile, delivery of the PFS will reduce risk. If they announce proposed full funding at the same time, risk is reduced more. As BHP come out of purdah, they will hopefully confirm support for the SOLG management team and the concerns for that relationship will disappear.

The game changer for SOLG is definitely a 2nd discovery. We are all hoping for early drilling to be positive and for the excitement to build.

In reality, it is the DFS which will mark the end of the potential bid window. That is 12 months away and potential bidders are likely to wait for confirmation of a 2nd site. If that confirmation does not come, it is more likely there will be no bid and SOLG will go it alone.

A find, of a similar exciting scope to Alpala would be very, very interesting for this stock. The share price is where it is because of market psychology, they see the market cap, 550m GBP, see that has very large and need confirmation before it rises. All very obvious perhaps, the share price is lower now than what it was earlier in the year, even though the precious metals have increased significantly and the other projects are now ready to start flowing a tremendous amount of news and data.

Why would the majors sit back and watch this company find another tier 1 project and try and take it into production, they won't be able to swallow that, a potential bidding war could see this at 2 billion plus.

La Hueca first drill hole should be my calculation finish drilling on the 24th of August . Thats next Tuesday . I guess they will have a good idea of what they have found on that day although the market will have to wait until results come back from the lab .

1 x drill holes x 500 meters deep .

If they find something at that depth it could be quicker to hit production than ALPALA .
