09/7/2020 11:02 | CGP makes a good stalking horse for a predator, there's a wonderful irony in a company that would likely be unable to raise the finance to secure it's principle asset, and thus see it's market value slump, and yet it's bid up simply as a tool for some other greedy operator trying to get Solg on the cheap. I guess we are now in the foothills of a takeover move for Solg. Lets see who turns up to the dance. | ![]() lefrene
09/7/2020 10:53 | CGP is complicated. In any bid situation for SOLG, the bidder will also want to get hold of CGP. There is bad blood between CGP and SOLG which means CGP will try and encourage bids for SOLG, and by implication, themselves. If this comes off, CGP will get a much better deal than the one on the table. If no bids arrive, CGP are in a precarious situation. Personally, I don't think they can find their share of Cascabel development and so they would end up handing it back to SOLG and the remaining CGP will be nearly worthless. For CGP, it all hinges on a SOLG bid taking place. | ![]() lowtrawler

09/7/2020 08:15 | pparech20, I guess there's nothing stopping Newcrest and BHP doing a deal after Newcrest buys it? But at leat a take over attempt should flush other predators out of the woodwork. Perhaps NM needs to get a few night shifts in, and get that pre-feasibility done ahead of schedule and surprise us on the upside just for once. | ![]() lefrene

09/7/2020 00:06 | For me, it doesn't make sense that Newcrest would hire an investment bank to help them decide to sell shares in Solgold. They are aware of the fact that BHP are tied down till October. They are also aware of the fact that the financing deal with Franco doesn't get signed till end of July post the site visit. For me, this seems like them preparing for a potential takeover bid before the Pre-Feasibility is complete. NM had said that it isn't good for both parties when a takeover happens during the time they are working on a pre-feasibility study. That makes sense to me... however... With the share price so low, for Newcrest this is the perfect opportunity to prepare for a takeover and surprise the market whilst shareholders are still annoyed with the recent dilution. In summary, my take is that there will be a takeover bid before October. Let's see what happens... And if this does happen, it isn't going to be a 60% premium (can't remember what the source was, but this is meant to be the average rate of takeovers at the moment)... Again with the share price so cheap, I think there will be other bidders bidding this price up! GLA | ![]() pparekh20
08/7/2020 23:38 | Pmount Respect your opinión. Not mine so lets see where we end up .its not a race one must be patiant. Maybe you will get your 15p and i will get my 40p . Everybody happy . Remember i am happy to hold at 15p . Will you be happy to be short at 40p . Also dont forget i was happy to buy from 16p down to 10 and all the way back before selling at 28p I then bought back some at 26p before offloading ar 23p .. yes i make mistakes and now average around 20.3p alot lower than those who bought in at 21.50p for the placing i may add . But as i said its not a race but should this month be the last for Solgold i will pocket 300k profit should the takeout be at 45p . | ![]() mknight
08/7/2020 22:50 | MKNOUGHT still no takeover yet then. 28p dirt cheap. 25p dirt cheap. 20p dirt cheap. 16p dirt cheap next week. mknought and sol like wasting time in dirt next spade full will be full of gold nuggets and takeovers. safe short to 15p been overramped. | ![]() pmount
08/7/2020 22:43 | Arcadian Not really courageous just i thin 19p is a stupidly cheap price . It may go to 16p or less but with gold , silver and copper on the move i dont see much risk as long as i dont need the money ad have to sell . There is also the fact that when Alpala Comes into production there will be less Copper in production as many mines are off there peak production . Question for NM next week .. have the 3 projects started drilling ...how many rigs on each .. when did they start .. how long before first results .. how many meters can they drill a day .. how many meters will they drill to . | ![]() mknight

08/7/2020 21:21 | You are more courageous than me or more likely have more money to risk. These are two important milestone I would prefer to have confirmed but the Franco deal is the clincher and I await it with eagerness within that vague "Imminent" as Charles said "Whatever that means" | ![]() arcadian |
