18/4/2020 20:15 | mknight, I did expect the price to go higher on the last rns, considering the huge assets of Solg and it's potential, it seems very cheap. But as a price is supposed to reflect all known information, I can't see what might move it, but happy to be wrong if it goes up. | ![]() lefrene

18/4/2020 20:07 | Ok thanks lefrene I take that as a no change in the Sp on Monday . | ![]() mknight
18/4/2020 19:56 | I have no expectations for Monday. But having now read about the true scale of the mess the banks have yet again created, I do speculate that any company with a large sum of dollars might be wishing to turn those billions into something real whilst they still can? The Chinese of course have their gold backed petro-Yuan, which could well become much more acceptable than a dollar backed by hot air! Perhaps this is the moment in history the Chinese have been planning for? | ![]() lefrene
18/4/2020 19:29 | I agree mknight, the only tool left in the box is to print money, but for how long will this junk money be trusted. You need to get it out there to keep as many plates spinning as possible, b ut then you also need to hoover as much of it straight back up again before it becomes valueless. Our lords and masters have brought us to this pass despite 2008/09, their ineptitude is painted in 5000' blazing capitals, and you'd trust them to find a path out of a mess of this scale? The real actual money is buried in Alpala, somebody needs to get a deal that can cope with hyper inflation of the dollar. Perhaps the petro-yuan which is backed by gold and used by China to trade for oil from Russia? Ironically Solg needs funding linked to gold to get to the point where it can extract it's own metals. | ![]() lefrene
18/4/2020 19:00 | All countries are printing money . Most are paying unempoyment and supporting small and large business . People need a job to go back to when this virus is over without printing money the system would crash . Then what ? Of course it cannot go on for ever but if we can come out in the next few months there is a future . | ![]() mknight

18/4/2020 17:04 | DD . Don t be nasty no need for it . For what its worth i think DD is correct . There probably will be a fund raising for the Apala project and another for the regionals . As i posted early replying to DD . Either way it looks great | ![]() mknight
18/4/2020 14:02 | Just to add everytime NMhas raised funds its always been above the share price so probably they will raise money at 22/23p Would look bad if he paid less than the current share price He has also told the market that he was going to either buy shares through the market or funding . He has now told the market through the mining journal that the deal will be closed within 2 weeks . We have the option to buy a shed load on monday as i think the funding details will come out Tuesday. | ![]() mknight
18/4/2020 14:00 | DD You may be right . As an example 120 million raised through Some sort of streaming . 30 million raised by NM and others for regional use 20p. What would the share price DO is all that i am worried about . The share price if the terms are good should rise well above the price of 20p . Thats all shareholders are worried about If NM and co earn ..good luck to them as they put a wedge of money in. Different of course it the price for shares was less than 20p | ![]() mknight

18/4/2020 13:11 | I confess Dozy that I am a parasite and hope to profit from the hard work of those at Solgold. Fortunately for me Hofmaier has more knowledge and more experience in these matters than you and he is certainly closer to the action so on balance I hope you won`t be too upset if I disregard your constant rubbishing of Solgold`s efforts. | ![]() arcadian
18/4/2020 12:38 | All on here should read the March 11 update carefully. It does NOT say Solg will get $150m which it can use to drill its other prospects and support company costs. It will be part of "project financing" (look it up)- ie ring fenced to start the Alpala planning and preliminary work only, and while discussions continue for funding the whole project which will involve Solg itself raising more funds (in a few years time probably). However it is raised, it will be (like streaming) by giving away part of Alpala's NPV and profits to the fund provider. Or it might involve someone (maybe Newcrest or BHP) 'earning in' (look it up) and so taking a share in the project (not in Solg) or taking part of subsequent cash flows in exchange. Its significant that there is no mention whether BHP or Newcrest will participate. Its also significant that (assuming they haven't added to their shares in the market by now) the directors will do so in any subsequent funding by Solg itself - ie they expect to get their shares more cheaply. But some on here don't seem able to read. AS for Hofmaiers remarks, any work outside Alpala cannot be funded from whatever deal is to fund it, but will have to be separate - ie by Solg issuing shares itself (unless someone else 'earns in' to the exploration) All in all, expect a Solg fund raise at lower than recent prices. Why else is NM making so many appearances but to try to buoy it up? | ![]() dozyduck
18/4/2020 12:15 | While I assume that all here will have read this from KBOO7 on LSE it was so encouraging that I just had to post it. We reported on March 11 that we will need to raise $150 million to complete the feasibility study and for regional exploration and there are no changes to that, so within the next couple of weeks we plan to do a financing he said. Hofmaier would not comment on whether the financing will be a bought deal, investment by strategic investors, or a private placement. The completion of a feasibility study for Alpala is likely to experience delays due to travel restrictions and quarantine measures related to the COVID-19 virus outbreak in Ecuador. Ecuador has been the worst hit country in South America and so we are missing some inputs due to our reduced activities [on the ground] such as environmental monitoring, land acquisition, studies for tailings and geotechnical holes, he said. The November 2019 PEA outlined an average of 810,000 tonnes per year of concentrate in the first 15 years of production from late 2025 grading 28.2% copper, 22.1 grams per tonne gold and 65.7g/t silver containing 230,000t of copper in concentrate, 580,000 ounces gold and 1.7Moz silver. Hofmaier was confident, however, that the company would be able to put a project financing plan in place this year given the overwhelmingly positive expressions of interest it has received from smelters and traders for the copper-gold concentrates the mine is expected to produce. Not a single expression of interest had worse terms than we put in the PEA [preliminary economic assessment] so we know the market really wants this product. We will take a balanced approach between traders and smelters. The offers of some smelters have attractive funding attached. It is very clean with low levels of deleterious elements and the high gold content and long mine life mean it can be an important part of their smelter feed for decades, he said. Hofmaier said he expected to respond to short-listed companies next week and enter into more detailed conversations with the aim of receiving memoranda of understandings. However, completion of this step will be difficult to achieve until travel restrictions in Europe and Asia are lifted. We can do a lot with conference calls but as these are essentially partnerships we have to go and meet people, especially in Asia and the three major European smelters, he said. Shares in SolGold are trading at C35, valuing the company at $673 million. | ![]() arcadian
18/4/2020 12:05 | Lowtrawler, I bet you are happy you walked away on Friday as it looks like this will rise Monday Better not put a price on it as we may get diappointed . Lets just say when we were 45p were we at the same stage in deveolpment as today . We need the details of course but we do know its Better than the PEA . | ![]() mknight

Silver on the table is left over, offers for hundreds of millions of dollars have reached the presidential desk..." | ![]() pob69
17/4/2020 22:49 | Thanks POB69 So within 2 weeks we have confirmation of 150 million for feasability and drilling regionals at better than PEA numbers . what price will the share price be at once confirmed .? We have money so i would like to see a plan of just where the 150 million will be spend . How many regionals will have rigs and how many rigs per región and what sites . Map it out so we can see whats going on and where . Its súper important we dont waste the cash on directors etc . As it seems not to have cost NM and co any monies to raise this sum time to put your hand in your pocket and buy some shares . | ![]() mknight
17/4/2020 22:07 | Interesting quotes from Ingo Hofmaier (article behind paywall) $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador "...Solgold reported in March that company will need to raise $150 million to complete the feasibility study and for regional exploration and there are no changes to that, so within the next couple of weeks we plan to do a financing" "...Not a single expression of interest had worse terms than we put in the PEA so we know the market really wants this product." Hofmaier said he expected to respond to short-listed companies "next week" but essentially due to covid there may well be a delay to further feasibility studies though Hofmaier was "confident that the company would be able to put a project financing plan in place this year". | ![]() pob69 |
