21/6/2019 09:23 | Broker RedCloud has looked at anticiapting drilling for H2 2019, with a positive view on Solgold (published prior to court ruling) $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #ecuador "...A spate of promising exploration results from various prospects within the company’s vast property holdings in Ecuador reveal the emergence of a significant exploration pipeline beyond Alpala." "..Alpala is world class but could still surprise via the drill bit." "...We continue to believe that SolGold could make a discovery beyond Alpala, which would further enhance this company’s take-out-appeal." "...Our fair value estimate for SolGold is C$1.40/sh; however, the world-class nature of Alpala and the likely takeout suggests it should trade at a premium. Catalysts: • Formal bid for Cornerstone (H2/19) • Alpala exploration results (Ongoing) • Exploration results from regional targets (Ongoing) | ![]() pob69

21/6/2019 08:23 | But will be interesting to see if we've heard the last of this. I'm sure they'll be a lot of very unhappy locals around who will feel cheated by this ruling and decide to take matters into their own hands. Let's hope there's no resulting civil unrest aimed at those international miners | ![]() banksy
21/6/2019 08:18 | Sounds like someone would have made a shedload with a timely short on the downside and now make a similar amount as the share recovers... Nice. | ![]() boris cobaka
21/6/2019 08:17 | Yep and that’s what happens when you try to stitch up the government and big business. That’s why it was only going to go one way. | ![]() dmitribollokov
21/6/2019 08:16 | Hmmm ... the case was rejected on technicalities... not even heard! Sounds like some sort of stitch up | ![]() banksy
21/6/2019 07:55 | Well here's a conservative price target for those with a little longer attention span. To coincide with the metal rally i'd say 80p no problem in 3 months. Gl. | ![]() boris cobaka

20/6/2019 20:35 | Arcadian, I should think the whole mining industry is giving the government a very simple message right now. No one can pour billions into a country without certainty of being able to realise the benefit of the investment. The government needs the prospective tax harvest, it will have to come up with guarantees. | ![]() lefrene

20/6/2019 20:21 | The Court did not rule on the claim itself and threw the request out because it did not meet the legal and constitutional requirements. I assume that some other party could satisfy these and surely in that case we are back to square one. It is the ongoing uncertainty which will affect Solgold and its potential bidders. It will be interesting to see how our BOD see this ruling and our future prospects.l. | ![]() arcadian |
