13/5/2019 09:19 | Hi Arc - thanks - very pleased to join you all. If previous long term (15-20 year) commodity/shipping market cycles going back over 70 years are a reliable guide the next 24 months of this new cyclical recovery stage should be characterised by a surge in M&A activity, as sector heavyweights now with rising cash flows following a brutally long sector recession that brought most of them to their knees, look to rebuild their production development pipelines in what is currently a very lowly priced market for juniors/small caps with decent assets. Like Nat Resource analyst Joshua Hall, I consider SOLG a prime global target for when the inevitable cyclical surge in M&A activity occurs, to the benefit of its shareholders. | mount teide
13/5/2019 08:53 | Very encouraging to see a rise this morning when there was no RNS. Let's hope is is sustained. | mikalan
13/5/2019 08:49 | Would be lovely to break through 42. As long as we don't double top here, it's pretty quick to 45 then beyond 50 imo. I don't understand that "check news over next 48 hours" story, odd thing for the guy to say. Maybe he meant 48 biz hours, or "in the next while" ! | dmitribollokov
13/5/2019 08:45 | NIce start to the morning. Must admit to being a bit disappointed with no news. It had been enjoyable having daily positive updates! | 5070481

12/5/2019 11:34 | Picked this up from LSE board ... Looks VERY interesting and COULD be connected to sudden surge in share price Particularly ... "keep an eye out in the coming 48 hours for news of one of Ecuador’s biggest copper discoveries yet by a private company" The videos are all in Spanish so have to trust the translation. "Here is the excerpt from the event which mentions the announcement within a 48 hour timeframe. He also stressed that his country’s new mining policy is based on two key aspects: sustainability as the basis for competitiveness along with regulation to prevent illegal mining. Taunton echoed this sentiment, saying that private firms assume the risks associated with production and thereby need to act with transparency and respect for local communities. At the closing of the session, Benelcazar told the audience to keep an eye out in the coming 48 hours for news of one of Ecuador’s biggest copper discoveries yet by a private company." | onedayrodders

12/5/2019 11:14 | It is all about what NMs motivation is. Does he want to prove up and sell the lot? Does he want to develop incrementally and build a global major? Does he want to sell a few things and keep the Crown Jewels? One thing for sure: if the string of RNSs last week had been individual announcements for different companies the share prices of each would have rocketed. The current share price here does not recognise the number of different prospects SOLG has. The future is definitely very exciting. Are we expecting to hear more from the mining conference? Is the 48 hours up? Are we nearly there yet? | mad foetus |
