10/8/2017 10:34 | People are holding on to their shares. Just hold on and don't forget its been a steady rise. There's been no pumping and dumping. | mam fach
10/8/2017 08:15 | The market can be irrational for a while but never stupid. Chill ... If it was that easy we'd all be overnight millionaires | onedayrodders
09/8/2017 21:06 | why the hell the share price is going sidewards? They moving to main market for godsake. Comment guys. | filterwest
08/8/2017 17:46 | Holding on to my shares.Said this many times. Been holding since before Ecuador. What a find. | mam fach
08/8/2017 17:38 | Yes it's a case of grit your teeth, and keep waiting mam fach. The price of copper continues to creep up, the resource statement continues to creep towards it's completion, it would be great to get out of first gear and move swiftly to overdrive, but I feel that NM is doing his best, which is more than can be said for many chiefs of AIM companies! It would be amusing to see copper spike up just as that maiden resource statement comes out :¬) All those expected lecky cars and the infrastructure to charge them are going to need a bit of copper. | lefrene
08/8/2017 13:07 | Exactly you put it so much more eloquently than I. But we both agree we're on to a winner. Look @ all the hype on UKOG BB. Most posters on this board been holders of SOLG for years. Through thick and thin. | mam fach
08/8/2017 11:37 | NM is an old hand, he has a large share holding and knows that Cascabel is huge and valuable, he won't be giving it away like some hireling brought in as an 'ex' from Mc Kinsey's, who just wants a quick unearned bonus and then move on to the next quick screw. It's going to take a while, we have the TSX listing, soon a main market listing, then finish the Alpala maiden resource statement. Begin drilling other parts of Cascabel that look promising, especially Aguinaga as it might be a near surface resource that could be swiftly exploited at lower cost, thus financing the remainder of Cascabel. BHP seemed to have got miffed over not being able to bully NM out of Solg on the cheap and have recently allocated $82 million to exploring other prospects in the area. It takes a lot of valuable time to prove up a prospect, every day brings Cascabel closer to exploitation, closer to the decision makers in big miners putting their pensions on the line by committing large sums to extraction. With any luck we will get a spike in the price of copper, and some of those decision makers will become in fear of losing pensions because they failed to act when prices were lower. It's all good clean fun :¬) | lefrene
08/8/2017 10:54 | NM knows exactly what he plans to do. Unfortunately we don't. My guess would be that he might prefer to sell off some assets rather than go into joint venture. But that's just my opinion FWIW. Very few companies actually get promoted from AIM. But the majority of them become successful companies. | mam fach
08/8/2017 10:30 | I imagine that all the major holders "would like to realise the best value", including NM as they now have plenty of other properties to explore, and a large slug of money from selling Cascabel would help that along more swiftly. Fortunately though they have option B which is to mine it with Newcrest and/or others, since Cascabel is so big and well situated relative to infrastructure and water supply. At the moment all the major holders seem to be on the same hymn sheet, prepared to mine with Newcrest, or presumably willing to sell for the right price? In the meantime as we wait, copper seems to be creeping up quite nicely, and Cascabel holds a lot of copper. | lefrene
08/8/2017 09:01 | lefrene - your post 10725 sums up Cornerstone's position neatly IMHO. My own hunch is that it feels that it would like to realise the best value it can from Cascabel and move on to explore its other properties. | herbert howells
05/8/2017 11:07 | Morning, for those of us invested here I totally agree. | kyoquot
05/8/2017 08:34 | All good things come to those who wait (as my dear old mum used to say) | onedayrodders
04/8/2017 16:41 | Beginning to wonder if SOLG having trouble getting assays done. Drilling has accelerated due to more rigs and deviations from existing holes, but I think no new asaay results since hole 23R at end of June. I have a sneaky feeling I read that the exploration of others in Ecuador would put pressure on resources such as assaying, which I assume is done by an external contractor. However, can't remember where I read it. | noccer
02/8/2017 20:54 | Apologies for the above, I'm getting my Cornerstones muddled with my Newcrests. | lefrene
02/8/2017 16:57 | lurker5, they have recently pumped in a lot of money at 41p, presumably to greatly speed up the exploration and confirmation of the size and richness of the asset. There seem to be old hands at this particular feast, so I guess they all know the rules of the game. If Cornerstone and Guyana? are locked together perhaps they have both arrived at a mutual figure they want for their interests? Eventually somebody will show their hand, in the meantime one hopes that ever better news will emerge from the jungle. | lefrene
02/8/2017 14:23 | lefrene - Cornerstone is a wheeler dealer. They're not interested in getting hands dirty over a long period of time. They'll be out - at a profit - at the time they reckon the fastest (if not the largest) addition to value as been achieved. | lurker5
02/8/2017 08:10 | Yep if that's a double top on UKOG then back to sub 4p on UKOG IMHO AIM spikes always looks se around 50% from their tops | onedayrodders
01/8/2017 21:32 | No doubt the fast buck has been made on UKOG pumpers and dumpers been bus Wish there was little more interest in SOLG considering we are moving from AIM. This is a much better bet. | mam fach
01/8/2017 16:59 | A case of much patience ODR, I guess sellers have got fed up waiting for a maiden resource statement that never comes, although it's delay is due to finding evermore resource. But some peoples length of string is shorter than anothers. Someone might pounce with an offer, or we might just have to wait until Christmas for that maiden report, and for some info from the Aguinaga site. | lefrene
01/8/2017 14:31 | Peeking its head above 40p ... be nice to get back to recent highs | onedayrodders
01/8/2017 10:46 | remain a holder in SOLG but attention been elsewhere recently. Has Warren sold his stake and if so why ? thanks | brahmsnliszt
01/8/2017 10:32 | I'm none too sure of Cornerstones position other than they don't want a prize asset taken on the cheap. I guess Cornerstone could win by doing a joint venture with Solg, it would take time and require considerable investment, or they may be open to a fast buck in selling out their interest? The fact that interested parties have joined forces indicates that none wishes to see another damage their position by selling too cheaply via the back door. They all know the value of what they hold and want proper value for it. None of the holders appear in distress, so not being in dire need of cash they can all afford to wait it out. As they do so the riches of the Solg assets will be revealed as growing ever more mouth watering. | lefrene
31/7/2017 22:20 | lefrene - in the movie 'White Christmas' one of the female leads coming on to the male says something like she might not be the most attractive catch but she is 'awfully available'. Solgold is the great catch but Cornerstone has made it clear it's 'awfully available'. But I think you are right: it's going to be sooner rather than later. | herbert howells
31/7/2017 19:29 | Herbert howells, a good question, I suppose it depends on who you are and how deep are your pockets. A big miner doesn't need Cornerstone, but as Cornerstone is in bed with another large holder (Guyana?) it's not going to be easy to take them without having to buy out Guyana too. The wagons have been circled, you can't pick em off one at a time, you have to come in big fast and hard, before some other entity decides it's worth a poke with a stick. But it seems that the Cascabel story just keeps on growing, and copper seems to have turned the corner, if you really want it, pay up soon and pay very big because it's only going to be worth a lot more this time next year. The potential numbers are huge, 15 billion tons have been mentioned in relation to Cascabel, and with copper moving towards $3 a lb say $12 a ton at 2% that's $180 billion in the ground and that's before the expected major recovery in copper values. Say 5% of $180 billion, that's $9 billion about 16 times the current market cap. This might all be pie in the sky, but all the same the numbers indicate the potential scale of the thing. So if you think copper is going to recover to over $5 a lb, then Cascabel even at $9 billion becomes a resource very much worth having. (just corrected my figures 1-8-17) Cascabel is huge, it's accessible with good infrastructure near by,and a government that wants to exploit it's mineral wealth. | lefrene |
