Whoever heard a lack of trading or price action was the sign of a major announcement? SOLG is a leaky ship and the share price will move sharply a few hours before any formal announcement if it is expected to impact the share price

Only 29 trades in the first 2.1/2 hours...only 10 AT...total value £45k...

Is this it...soon...?

loganair...Sangha and Scott have stated they have no intention of selling the shares at anywhere near the current price, because they will be raising "non dilutive, non equity" finance...the 10 EOIs on offtake funding were as at January 2024 if you read the detail of the Technical Report.

There is a price for anything. I'm simply pointing out that your statement that the prospect of raising any c ash at all is "poor", is rubbish...

loganair. As you know, I am not invested in SOLG and will not be investing in SOLG. Even so, I do believe Cascabel is a major asset that will eventually be exploited. I firmly believe a bid will be made for SOLG and Cascabel will be progressed to build. What I don't know is the timing or price. IMV, the longer it takes for a bid, the lower the price and eventually it would become a distressed sale.

IMV, SOLG will have no difficulty raising funds this year. My concern is how they raise those funds. If they enter a NSR or offtake deal, it will reduce the value of Cascabel and make an early bid less likely.

So long as SOLG do not come under pressure to meet their exploration commitments at the regional licenses, they can likely limp along for the next 3 years waiting for that illusive bid before they can be considered distressed. The other risk is the government lose patience at delays to the build. Cascabel is expected to form a major part of the Ecuador economy and if they don't commence build quickly, a distressed sale may be forced on them. This is why I still believe a bid is likely over the next few months.

When I was heavily invested in SOLG, I had to continually remind people that the SOLG Canadian listing price was completely irrelevant. It is so thinly traded and trading is performed like an OTC stock (matched trades). You have to question why any serious investor would ever refer to the Canadian price. By the way, it is on TSX, not TMX.

Notice what the funds do.

We have the mining conference to look forward to.

That is on the 27th June.
Have you noticed what it is called?

'Future Copper Giants!'

And Scott Caldwell is speaking at it!

RP - "Can I remind you that there are 155 million shares sat on CGP's balance sheet that could be sold at any time if need be...and I guess Jiangxi would pay a premium to the market price to get them..."

1 - That's if anyone actually wants to buy these 155 million shares?

2 - Why would Jiangxi pay a premium?

If either 1 or 2 then it seems to me reasonable to say would already have happened by now.

Yes RP look at the wider scenario.

Canada is certainly where it's at.

In fact TMX has closed anything up to 9% higher than London for at least the last 8 trading days...

And remember, Canada is a global epicentre for mining finance...

SOLG closed at 9.86 on TMX...oddly quiet this morning...

Only £32k traded in the first 80 minutes...Offbook outnumbering Autotrades...

This happened last Wednesday and I thought then that the market might be expecting something...

Who knows...long overdue...

Meanwhile, for those of you who were spooked by loganair's implication that SOLG could go bust within weeks because of running out of cash...

Can I remind you that there are 155 million shares sat on CGP's balance sheet that could be sold at any time if need be...and I guess Jiangxi would pay a premium to the market price to get them...

But the Board don't want to do that, nor issue equity, which is why I think a streaming deal or especially an offtake like Jiangxi's £500m to First Quantum (on the verge of going bust) are more likely...

Remember Jiangxi have a NED on the SOLG Board...

As if anyone cares who loganair filters. Shown again and again to be a liar, here to deramp, same person posting as Lowtrawler. Low life scum and not clever enough for their negative posts to make any sense or to keep track of their many lies.

Post 43185. Lies havinthel, probably not, but the sentiment he displays, agreed is always to try to knock the share, it seems to me.

Share dealing is a risk which we have to weigh up in our own way.

But some of us do it on a risk/reward basis.

The share is cheap and believe it or not, was more risky when it was, higher, but it doesn't appear that way to people as the herd mentality sets in.

Each to their own.

But I would agree that generally he appears to be trying to put people off.

Non-invested lowtrawler spamming this board again with negative misinformation and outright lies.

Absolute scum, the lowest of the low.

The big sale the other day must've made him cream his pants or something because he hasn't posted this much for weeks, not since the price started recovering.
