Not in, as I sold out at 55p for my 2nd loss. For what its' worth, my betting is that the majority of buyers now are new to SMC. It's my view that current holders will remember the pattern of drops and will not see this small rise as a reversal sign. It did the same around the 110p mark and did not recover. There has been no financial news release to justify a poitive stance. Furthermore, regarding the banks' support they could hardly say otherwise as any value left in the company would have dissipated in a nano-second. Banks will say whatever they can to maximise their return regardless of whether this misleads PI's. This is a day traders high-risk moment, not a term-investment moment. Wait for clarity from the company and in the case of SMC, decide whether you believe a word of it! Personally I wouldn't...twice bitten etc...! Good luck to holders.

The news seems to have had a positive effect.

There is bound to be more in the pipeline very soon.

This could still go either way - still a buying opportunity to those who enjoy risk...

These are strong moves by SMC obviously aimed at reducing overheads and improving the bottom line. As the share price reflects the bottom line, then this is potentially good news, however some sort of financial visibility would be useful - it looks like this will happen, 'on a month by month basis..' at least internally if not externally. Although I am gutted by the recent share price, it does seem as if positive action has happened.

Lots of negative comment today.

Honestly I do not know how to interpret the latest announcement.

I wonder if McColl leaving was a condition of the continued support from the banks.

I suspect most of the negative posts above come from people who have now sold out and would be pleased to see the company disappear from the face of the earth.

I still hold a few and whilst I can't anticipate which way things will go I hang on in hope.

When I started to post this the buyers where outnumbering the sellers and the price had partly recovered from a poor opening.

Just a simple question of wait and see.

Cheers

Th.

Banks involved would suggest that they have had to exceed the overdraft of 20m and have been given a few weeks to sort out cash flow issues. this will go down to 5p Then recover if it survives at all. The CEO has been sacked because of gross incompetence.. Best avoid until the situation becomes clear.

So McColl has fallen on his sword, the overhead structure is too high and the banks remain "supportive" of the "restructuring" plans !

This company desperately needs to issue some clean and credible financial data to the market so that people can evaluate their current situation. Until they do this ongoing sentiment will remain negative and the share price will continue to reflect this !

Whats happened here is they have bought people in the form of smart architects.

You cannot mould these people without the right incentives.

Today those incentives will be removed and the smart architects will up and leave.

Sorry state of affairs and a 13k lesson.

Dont believe a word of a director or RNS on a AIM PERIOD.

taking share price + debt and the valuation is up at 36 million, add a few quid for the payouts and its 40 million plus.
Thats a pretty high price tag considering the unknowns. It may be one where we see pennies buying but pounds selling.

Classic signs of going under fairly soon, barring a miracle imo.
