Zero reaction to the half year results. Odd

Sorry this has gone over my head completely or I am totally naive.

Do any trading platforms in the UK use your shares or cash in any way, or own them.

Please explain, somebody!

How 'Secure is it...?

what I mean is ... Do they sub-let .. your shares to shorters .. etc..

.. Who 'OWNS'.. The 'Equities'..?

who 'OWNS'.. The actual shares .. or Bonds

A very pertinent question .. especially for Pension / Trust Funds...

They may be Cheaper ... for a reason ..

For Instance ... A 'Company'.. when if Folds or goes under
... has no further liabilities to the account or Equity Holders ..

I suspect .. a large number of UK prospective Pensioners
.... have yet to learn this ..

Are they a 'Company'... Trading on their own account ... with your Assets..?

... what happens if they go Bust ..?

I've been following this one for a while now, and having just got a letter from my supplier offering a Smart meter I thought I would take another look. I know the target is for 80% of consumers to have been OFFERED one by 2020, but taking one is entirely optional. I'm semi-tempted by this share, but I can't find any insight anywhere as to what is due to happen after this initial deadline passes.

Can anyone shed any light on that?

Well I thought the results looked OK on the growth front and that is what this sector needs. Hopefully it will climb back up to this mornings heights before the end of the week.

Look forward to 4th April for further insight that SMETS2 is finally accelerating cleanly. Chart looks interesting - an 8 month inverse H&S in the latter stages?

Time for me to have a look again as probably looking relatively cheap when looking at the current cashflow generation rate.

Maybe ihatemms, though it hasn't stopped Canaccord Genuity raising their target price today to 925p, source LSE BB.

SMS results were poor in my view - not one comment to confirm FY results will be in line with market expectations but plenty of margin and other risks mentioned. In fact eps was only 8p per share- unlikely to meet full year expectations of 19p in my view.

I was thinking the same... Surely worthy of a push back to 700p+ as a minimum. Results were certainly better than I was expecting.

Short tracker shows no evidence of any meaningful shorts.

Countless what do you base your assertion on? Looking at the candle formation on the last 2 days there is some evidence it may go upwards for a short period. The interims are usually declared in early September and that result will have a huge effect on the direction. Any clues anyone?

I have had dual fuel smart meters with EON for a long time now with no
problems at all, and have no intention of ever changing supplier, life’s
too short.Esp if a politician tells me it’s what I should do.
Get all the info I need from my older solar panel read out in colour.
Just had a payment of over £200 for the last three sunny months, and
although am underpaid for what I put onto the grid, am saving much so happy.
Of course, was one of the last lucky ones to get solar panels and 20 year
Payment contract before the Government slashed subsidies 2015/16.
Have seen my 3.2 kw system give out 3.6 for a short period in the middle
of a summer day if the sky is clear. Probably won’t be around when electric
cars are everywhere, you can’t have everything but who knows.

The issue about not being able to move supplier is a valid one. I had smart meters installed by one supplier. I then switched to British Gas to get a better deal. The meter is not compatible with them so now I have to take meter readings from my smart meter (!) or get British Gas compatible smart meters installed. This would certainly put people off and I am now annoyed I got them fitted in the first place. If you plan to switch regularly (the main way to save money) then smart meters are not an option until they are generic.

I just had my own smart meter fitted on Friday. Loving it and already spotting where £ can be saved. The guy who fitted it said one thing that put people off was concerns about being able to move supplier. However I understand this is nor really an obstacle at all. Also why don't we have smart Water meters. I'm sure great savings could be made there.
