thanks Anley . SKY slipping a bit in recent days and in a short term downtrend but still medium term uptrend . have a nice weekend and rain forecast for weekend here in OZ on central coast of NSW !

Well its an ongoing story for Plus500 as all its UK accounts have been frozen while the boys look for money laundering etc...............

Sky has just failed to buy its competitor in Italy but they will be back as Sky offers a superior service and content.......content is king!

thanks Anley . But why did it affect CFDs or is that the part that was being investigated ? I did not know they offered a CFD service . have a good weekend sport .

No - the shares got to £7 and are now £4+ because some accounts were being investigated by the FSA........it always seems to happen from time to time but punters never learn.

Good to know you are not part of the herd mentality but keep an eye on what is going on in the USA. If markets start to rock and roll then be a bear as many top hedge managers are all ready to pounce.

hi Anley - no, I use IG markets but In have always been told that my funds are protected . but I never have a large balance and just enough for a margin play or two What happened with plus500 as i am in oz and had not heard about it ? have they gone bust ?
Nice to see SKY breakout .

ARJA........I see May to July to September as key turning points in the stock markets with choppy trends.

I wont go into all the ins and outs but look at a key support level of around 16540 in the DOW.

I am not bearish but this Bond market has caused some big players to loose a lot of capital..........

not really ansley . just trying to make money but still trying to hold some at end of day in case an overnight announcement means a big jump next day . Disappointing performance on monday and the market might struggle today with dow coming off.

performed poorly on friday ! i did exit latest trade at 1098 after early flourish and re-entered at 1080 but no joy yet with that trade. Let's see what monday brings !

hi Anley - I use CFds and hence cost is only about £44 on 2000 shares as I am a small player . So only needs to go down by over 2p a share to make it worthwhile to exit and re-enter . tempted to re-enter at 1093 but hoping it will slip a bit more . Of course it it suddenly takes off I might miss out ! ( smile ) . A pity the UK market does not perform like the German market which is great for spreadbetting at times !

Viacom renewal deal announcement.

Reminder (if any were needed) of the sheer scale and reach of this business.

SKY have commercial agreements everywhere.

Its all about cash flow and debt reduction which sets this business alight + subscribers hooked just not on Sport but content which will get bigger and better than BT.

Roll on £12 and then I will sell half my holding.

I really do not see why £20 should not be a reasonable target for this stock now.

It was £20 fifteen years ago (when this was a cash guzzler).

Well this is now a modestly priced cash fountain and with Austria Germany and Italy added and 100 million new homes to target the company is entering a new growth phase.
