probably both. They last time they hit the marker, it was the first drill hole and was therefore very important. This time round it is no big suprise. The big suprise will come when they hit the sulphides, and we find out how thick the deposit is.

Honestly? I have no freaking idea. On SD1 there was a big pop up at the time they announced hitting Hiawatha BUT on that hole there was a lot of uncertainty that they were going to even find Sullivan Time and the share price had been skidding from the time they'd announced that drilling had commenced.
This time around we've seen a gentle rise in the share price over the last few weeks and there's a lot more certainty that they'll find Sully Time - the question now is what's AT Sully time. In my mind the best part of the news release is the relative depth that they've intersected and how this is consistent with: their geo model; the UTEM interpretation; the results from the last hole; and the interpretation of Paul Ransom. All together this is a big finding because it likely means that Sullivan Time will be at a MUCH more shallow depth - also note that their drilling with the new contractor has gone very very well to this point. It's shaping up to be a very interesting few weeks considering that they're possibly only a couple of hundred metres from a MASSIVE discovery.

What does this mean in the immediate term? I can see a huge pop in volume and I'm predicting a short term spike through the previous 52 week high. If they hit then it's anyone's guess where this all ends up. If they miss?? well, heck, then it's over and it's been a fun ride.

SUBJECT: The importance of this SKY NR Posted By: VanSelena
Post Time: 3/29/05 17:29

I don't post here often but I am going to tell you what this latest NR means in plain english

The first drill hole intersected the Hiawatha marker was 2000 meters below the surface. This wedge drill hole has intersected the Hiawatha marker at 1872 meters below the surface ( that is 128 meters higher than the first drill hole)

The second drill hole intersected the Hiawatha marker at 1785 meters below the surfacee ( that is 215 meters higher than the first drill hole).

Here is where things are important LISTEN

First sedex hole 7.65 meters thick

Wedge is indicating that you can add another 128 meters of sedex deposit OR A TOTAL OF 135 METERS THICK

Second hole is indicating you can add another 215 meters of sedex deposit OR A TOTAL OF 222 METERS THICK.

THE SULLIVAN SEDEX DEPOSIT WAS BETWEEN 50 AND 100 METERS THICK.

THIS REPORT INDICATES THE SEDEX DEPOSIT WE ARE SEEKING IS A LITTLE OVER 2X AS THICK AS THE SULLIVAN SEDEX DEPOSIT

John Kaiser says
"Geological risk of hidden deep faults cleared by Hiawatha marker
The second risk was the possibility that unexpected faulting at depth might have disrupted the otherwise monotonous sequence of sedimentary layers. This would not, of course, have made the anomaly disappear that had been detected through a downhole UTEM survey using Cominco's 1996 hole, but it would have shaken confidence that it was associated with the Sullivan Time Horizon. The Sullivan Time Horizon is important because it represents a period when smoker systems were active in the sea covered basin. Hitting the Hiawatha marker reduces the risk that the Sullivan Time Horizon is not present in the target area.

let's be careful out there.... we are go for .65 on positive news it may spike higher but the .72 high should hold it at barrier and shares will be available again at .65 . after april 5 when drilling is on again, a positive "sullivan time" news release is the deal breaker and we smash the barrier to .75 .from there on to positive assays (.85 )and nr's giving readjusted size estimates (.95) will carry the us to the dollar barrier and quite possibly beyond. Teck having any breath of a word such as "we are watching with interest" during this time is an automatic 50% more. any local (CBC BCTV The Sun The Province )news media coverage of Stikine Gold Corp. that includes any of the provincial liberals spouting off about how their forward thinking in the mining sector has put them in a position to be touting huge possible employment futures and hence economic boom times for the province as a whole ,is worth 50% . add National news and we could be looking at 4.00+ without a mine.Thoughts?Arguments?Nasty Bashings?lol

SKY: #7-05

Vancouver, British Columbia: Stikine Gold Corporation ("Stikine") announces that diamond drill holes SD2 and wedge hole SD1-A at the Sullivan Deeps Project have both reached an important milestone horizon; the "Hiawatha" marker. The Hiawatha marker is a thick sequence of unique sedimentary marker rocks located stratigraphically 450 to 550 m (1,476 to 1,804 ft) above "Sullivan-time" where the famous Sullivan deposit occurs.

During its one hundred years in operation, the historic Sullivan Mine established thriving communities at Kimberley and Trail, British Columbia, employed four generations of miners and produced almost 35 billion pounds of zinc and lead, and more than 285 million ounces of silver.

Stikine's SD2 drill hole is targeting an area approximately 5 km (3 mi) north of the Sullivan Mine and 1.3 km (0.8 mi) north-east of the Company's 2004 discovery drill hole named 'SD1'. That hole successfully intersected Sullivan-style massive and laminated sedimentary exhalative ("SEDEX") sulphides at Sullivan-time (see SKY #21-04 press release dated October 1, 2004). While providing invaluable geological guidance, previous drilling by Cominco is now demonstrated to have been located too far to the west of the current target. When completed to target depth, SD2 will be the eastern-most hole drilled to 'Sullivan-time" and is planned to intersect near the interpreted centre of the mineralized corridor that also hosts the historic Stemwinder, Northstar, and Sullivan mines.

SD2 has reached a depth of 1,911 m (6,270 ft) and intersected the Hiawatha marker top at 1,785 m (5,856 ft) and bottom at 1,887 m (6,191 ft). Drilling activities at SD2 are now on hold until April 5, 2005 allowing for a crew break and drill maintenance.

Wedge drilling at SD1-A has now passed a depth of 1,876 m (6,156 ft) after successfully completing an initial wedge offset. The wedge drill hole intersected the top of the Hiawatha marker at a depth of 1,872 m (6,142 ft). Surveys of the hole's progress taken at regular intervals will be used to determine the need for additional wedging to reach the planned target area, east of the SD1 discovery intersection.

Core logging and marker identification for the project is conducted by Mr. Paul Ransom, Project Manager at Sullivan Deeps and Mr. Scott Broughton, P.Eng. is the NI 43-101 qualified person overseeing the project.

Stikine Gold Corporation: Sullivan Deeps Project; Drilling Update
3/22/05
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Mar 22, 2005 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Stikine Gold Corporation ("Stikine") (TSX VENTURE:SKY) announces that diamond drill hole SD2 at the Sullivan Deeps Project has passed a depth of 1,722 m (5,650 ft) and continues to intersect the normal progression of stratigraphic, barcode-like markers expected in the upper part of the Middle Aldridge Formation above 'Sullivan-Time'.

Since Stikine's last update on March 14, 2005, the 'Monroe' @ 1,630 m (5,348 ft) and 'Park' @ 1,713 m (5,620 ft) markers have been logged by Mr. Paul Ransom, Project Manager at Sullivan Deeps. Based on the depth of the Monroe and Park markers, the important 'Hiawatha' marker is anticipated to be intersected at a depth of approximately 1,860 m (6,100 ft).

Mr. Scott Broughton, P.Eng. is the NI 43-101 qualified person overseeing the Sullivan Deeps project.

SUBJECT: The chart says all. Posted By: Agard : 2/23/05 00:30

Sky is about to get interesting again IMHO.
If you just glance at the chart you will see a classic cup and handle has formed. Price usually (minimally) rises from a break above the cup rim to a height equal to the depth of the cup added to the break out level.

A horizontal line through 0.50 makes the cup and handle very obvious. You can figure out the target height yourselves as a TA exercise.(The handle is on the right hand side.)

A break above 0.50 also tends to announce that wave three of the last posted EW count, will have arrived. A gap up would be also be a strong (but not necessary )confirmation of this proposed wave three -if/when it happens.

Fibonacci time ratios suggest that March 9th is a date to watch (give or take a day either way.)

On the non chart side of things:

I am wondering if we will have results from SD2 before the wedgie results? Any thoughts on that from anyone with more info than I have?

Vancouver, British Columbia: Stikine Gold Corporation ("Stikine")
announces that diamond drill hole SD2 at the Sullivan Deeps Project has
passed a depth of 1,000 m (3,280 ft) and is continuing to target depth.
The cored interval comprises Middle Aldridge geology consistent with
that overlying the Sullivan Mine, 5 km (3 miles) to the south.
Stratigraphic markers identified in this interval include the 'R'
Marker (hole depth of 833.3m) and the Meadowbrook Marker (hole depth of
898.6m). SD2 is intended to evaluate the size of the newly discovered
SEDEX system at a location interpreted to be near its centre based on
geological information from the Company's discovery drill hole SD#04-01
("SD1") and from a recently completed downhole UTEM4 geophysical survey
(see SKY press release #24-04 dated December 17, 2004). SD2 and is
located 1.3 km (0.8 mile) north-east of SD1.

Drill core from SD2 is currently being logged by Mr. Paul Ransom,
Stikine's Project Manager for the Sullivan Deeps Project. Mr. Ransom
previously served as mine and exploration geologist for Cominco Limited
for 33 years and he is a recognized expert in the geology of the
Sullivan Mine and regional geology surrounding Kimberley, BC. Mr.
Scott Broughton, P.Eng. is the NI 43-101 qualified person overseeing
the project.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jan 24, 2005 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Stikine Gold Corporation ("Stikine" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SKY) announces that a second drill rig has commenced drilling at its Sullivan Deeps Project located 4km (2.5 miles) north of the famous Sullivan Mine at Kim
berley in southeastern British Columbia. The new hole, dubbed "SD2", is collared at a site located approximately 1.3 km (0.8 miles) north-east of the Company's Discovery hole SD#04-01, completed in September 2004.

SD2 will test an area near the centre of the Sullivan Deeps SEDEX system based on interpreted geological information from the Discovery Hole core and from a recently completed downhole UTEM4 (University of Toronto Electro Magnetics) geophysical survey (see SKY press release #24-04 dated December 17, 2004).

The UTEM4 survey successfully delineated a strong conductive anomaly at and around the Sullivan Deeps Discovery intersection in SD#04-01 and shows a large-scale footprint in the area previously identified by a 1996 UTEM survey. The UTEM 4 results also suggest that future drill holes will intersect the target at shallower depths over much of the target footprint area.

Drilling activities at the Company's first drill site have been suspended temporarily as the Company's drill contractor is awaiting the delivery of new drill rods to replace many of those used in the previous hole. Wedge drilling at the SD1 site will commence again as soon as those new rods have been delivered, anticipated for late February.

Black Smokers create:

sulfide mounds.. Large piles of sulfide minerals built up over time.
sulfides........ Oxygen-poor sulfur-bearing minerals.

Think about it.
This is why the center of the pile is where the ore is thickest.
SKY is trying to zero in

BLACK SMOKERS

"You've probably seen or heard of natural hot springs on land, like Old Faithful at Yellowstone National Park. Similar phenomena occur under the oceans within midocean ridge volcanoes and are called deep-sea hydrothermal (hot water) vents. They are known as black smokers, like the ones seen above. These black smokers are chimneylike structures made up of sulfur-bearing minerals or sulfides that come from beneath Earth's crust. They form when hot (roughly 350¡C), mineral-rich water flows out onto the ocean floor through the volcanic lava on a mid-ocean ridge volcano.
Black Smoker

Sulfide minerals grow or crystallize from the hot water directly onto the volcanic rocks at the place where the hot, mineral-rich water flows from the ground. This crystallization forms a hollow, chimneylike sulfide structure through which the hot water continues to flow. As the hot, mineral-rich water rushes out of this chimney and mixes with the cold ocean bottom water, it precipitates a variety of minerals as tiny particles that make the the vent water appear black in color. This is why these sulfide chimney structures are called black smokers.

Black smokers tend to occur on sulfide mounds (large piles of sulfide minerals built up over time) in vent fields that are typically tens of meters across. The areas of these fields range from pool table size (4 square meters) to tennis court size (770 square meters). Vent fields with towering sulfide chimneys on the Juan de Fuca Ridge (the destination of this expedition) have been compared to Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. Other vents have been given names based on their appearance, such as Anemone Heaven, Garden of Eden, Snake Pit, Whelks Club, and Beehives."

Here's what he said about SKY:

"Scott announced drill results from the $1 million dollar+++ hole on the 1st of October and the stock took a nose dive. It was the classic, buy on the rumor and sell on the news. I suspect that if shareholders understood what Scott and crew had in mind, the stock wouldn't have gotten cut in half. The stock was a gimmie at $.69 and at $.35 it's simply absurd. They have found exactly what they were looking for and the company is selling at about the price of a company with an option on 400 pounds of moose poop and a 2-line phone.

The offset wedge hole will be drilled shortly and plans are in the works for bringing in a second drill rig to drill another million dollar deep hole. If either of them shows a continuation of the mineralization already found, Stikine may well have a major mine on their hands."

SKY's BACK!
and with it, sister Roca has been Rocketing!

Moriarity said:
"If molybdenum has been the worst possible investment of the last 28 years, it's sure looking as if it may be the best investment of the next 28 years.

I've heard it said that even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and again. In a piece we posted last August, I made this comment about moly, "Some metals literally are on the verge of running out such as copper and for all purposes, moly has run out and the price could double or triple from here easily."

Moly was about $14 then and $37 now. Due to the nature of mining and bureaucratic delay, there are actually fewer sources of moly today than there were back then and demand continues to explode. Moly is up 150% and isn't even close to a peak in price"
...
" if anyone wonders why a company capable of $100,000 a day in cash flow is selling for $10 million Canadian, there's your answer. They have a great game plan, they just don't tell anyone what it is.

Scott plans on releasing a press release in mid-January announcing Roca filing for a small scale mining permit. It's a fast track process of getting permission to mine up to two years and I think 75,000 tonnes per year. That's big news and worth telling. But I don't know a person in the world who actually cares which day of the week they file it. Roca has the cart before the horse. No one cares when it is filed, only that Roca intends to go into production and if all goes well, can be in production for, say $10 million, in as little as six months.

There will be a scoping study released in February"
(that's ROK, rather than SKY: I own some too! Nice Double!)
