Capex planned for 2021 is at least $75m (portion of $100m loan to be drawn) and could be more once revenue is also utilised. For context, Seplat spent $88m capex in 2018 and $125m in 2019.

I’m looking forward to a double-digit number of wells drilled next year.... and whilst we expect to receive the Ororo licence renewal (we submitted FDP this summer), the success of Sirius isn’t contingent upon it. Oh and further substantial acquisitions too as the majors continue to sell stakes across Africa.

Ororo and PIB seem to be irrelevant

Disagree HT. I am sure whoever Srsp are talking too are fully aware if Srsp history and know more about ororo than we do. If anything experience on ororo demonstrates need for the right expertise.

'Because, as I said, it sounded as if HT was suggesting that Ororo was the only option that SRSP had in Nigeria, and that's not what they were telling us.'

Apologies if I failed to get my point across but was trying to convey why the outcome of the hearing on the 14th of Jan is important, should Owena lose the case, it will probably mean that SRSP will have no choice but to write off about $20m already booked against Ororo….Should this be the case then whatever other plans they may have for Nigeria, having lost all that cash, they'll be no appetite for them, or their backers, going forward on more promises in Nigeria. On the other hand...should Owena succeed, then it's a different ball game.

one for Isonic..

'8000 barrels a day but you think we are going to worry about Ororo...

Get a life'

Do you EVER read rns's?......SRSP bought FOUR Well Heads, and if the EWT was successful, had planned SIX wells for Ororo.

CPR..
'The Mid Case scenario implies peak oil production at 6,000 stb/d and peak gas production at 25 MMScfd, which equates to combined peak production at 10,310 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd)'

Why look for another oil field?...this has the potential of 60,000 bopde (The Meren Oil Field, a bit further up the coast and the largest producer in the Delta, has eleven wells...the last time I counted. The Meren Wells also produce water...there's no evidence of water at ororo)

Get a life...I suggest you get a calculator.

ps...Being the 31st..I was rather hoping to see some results out today?

lets hope SRSP moves into 2021 with a real hunger to move forward and deliver Shareholder value, for real. Lets see the funding, development start in Tunisia, the Nigerian asset, revenue and of course a relist. Every long term holder (prisoner) of this stock deserves it!

Best wishes to everyone for 2021. Stay home, stay safe, stay positive.

It seems that this bill is likely to affect the deepwater oil industry rather than the shallow water blocks which SRSP appears to be mostly interested in.

I doubt any O@G company will make a Final Investment Decision, including SRSP, until the PIB has been published in its final form....It already alludes to contain at least a dozen 're-vamped', 'blood-sucking' laws that have yet to be published...that I doubt will please potential funders.

Cant imagine GP being invited back to the Ororo party. Hopefully Owena, with Sirius in tow, recover the licence. Sirius great strength lies in sorting funding then bringing in the technical experts. Ororo not in the bid round, so risks being laid up dormant for years, the biggest losers being the people of Ondo State.
