18/7/2017 08:32 | o/t doug51..... Borris Becker got involved with Mittal, the Indian steel magnate who's company OMEL had rights to blocks OPL 285 and OPL 279 in the Niger Delta on which signature payments of $50m and $75m were made...however, because of a promised commitment of $6bn elsewhere in Nigeria that was open to question and in abeyance, Mittal pulled the plug of the two blocks and abandoned ship.... Borris was a close associate of Mittal. Borris was not the only one that lost money with Mittal. | htrocka2

18/7/2017 08:14 | Facts remain still in discussions with 4th partner no funding and awaiting this mysterious rig to appear to drill ororo now hopefully by end of the year. | aventador

17/7/2017 21:30 | Excellent. Sirius has until 2019 to reach the 15 year mark and £800m. Active let me know if you are still here at the end of H2. Thanks | openfield68

17/7/2017 21:19 | Thanks Dr.R. If they pay me enough money, I will happily quietly disappear! | vatnabrekk
17/7/2017 21:16 | And when I say "we" I mean the greater we...most of the oilers are investment companies and not operators. I'd say 80% of them... | activeservo
17/7/2017 21:06 | Openfield, Buying in AFTER backing by BP or "other options" is not my trading style. The idea is to be ahead of the curve and this now far on enough for my investment. Nothing happens H2 or share price drops I'll sell and move on. | activeservo
17/7/2017 20:47 | A 40% option on Owena`s 80% stake in the block lease. Whether that`s an economic interest, a legal interest, a participating interest, a working interest, who knows? That 40% would be fully transferable over to a new PSC consortium. Alternative the new partnership simply carves it up and pays Sirius a sum of money to quietly disappear. | dr rosso
17/7/2017 20:39 | Dr.R: I seem to have missed something, please explain: You say "and buy out Sirius` 40% options on the 95 and 241 assets". I understand the 40% of 95 bit, but what options or agreements does Sirius have in relation to 241? | vatnabrekk
17/7/2017 20:35 | Active, unless I missed the announcement (and I'm sure it would have been flagged up on this bb had it been made), we do not yet have the backing of BP. We are still in 'discussions' with them, and a recent RNS suggested that we have 'other options' should nothing materialise with BP. | openfield68
17/7/2017 20:28 | This is no quick buck. I'm here before the herd. Just need to wait. | activeservo
17/7/2017 20:28 | WE won`t be drilling anything. The rig will be contracted to the operator, tba. Sirius will never get oil out of the ground. On its own admission, it is not a production Company ... and never will be. It was created to bring in technical expertise and gather together a team of funding partners on behalf of Ondo State, and facilitate planning for field and block developments, including offtake arrangements. That is its reason for being. It does not have any personnel on BoD with any o&g experience, and never has had. The people it recruits as Ds are all linked to finance and are valued for their contacts. Once the partners sign the PSC and buy out Sirius` 40% options on the 95 and 241 gas assets, with FGN approval, that`s it, over and out. The ex-Crosby Far East links (Fry-Fletcher-Kejriw | dr rosso
17/7/2017 20:24 | Openfield, No. Rigs are cheap as chips still with the low oil price. We are even looking to buy one!Very shallow water, so jackup instead of semi sub.Shez, BP backing, appointing rig and drilling contractor (schlumberger is very good) is absolutely fundamental. Otherwise I wouldn't be here.We can go from contracting rig to starting drilling within 3 - 6 months. | activeservo
17/7/2017 20:21 | Shez we may have it all wrong. Some say it's about the oil, some the gas. Maybe it's all about the bass. Activeservo, is it all about the bass? | openfield68 |
