14/1/2017 14:25 | 07/18/2013 | 05:53am EST China Oilfield Services Limited ("COSL" or the "Company") has recently signed an agreement with Schlumberger Limited ("Schlumberger") to cooperate in deepwater operation. Under the agreement, Schlumberger will provide COSL with training in technology and management of seven areas, including deepwater drilling, deepwater cable logging and deepwater cementing, etc. Both parties will further strengthen their complementary relation through joint operation and cooperation in training and research and development of new technology. COSL and Schlumberger shared a long history of cooperation, through which they have established an extensive strategic partnership. In the future, both parties will continue to cooperation in many fields including overseas markets and deepwater operation by sharing resources, joint tendering and giving their complementary technological strengths full play, which will help them expand their market shares, promote the application of new technologies, and also strengthen their cooperation and procurement in manufacturing business, and cooperate in research and development. In recent years, COSL has been developing its strengths rapidly in terms of equipment, technology and talent development and training. It owns and operates a number of world-class deepwater drilling rigs and a deepwater geophysical fleet. These lay a solid foundation for COSL's cooperation with Schlumberger in deepwater operation and serve to help enhance the two partners' shares of the global market for oilfield services. | black_or_red

14/1/2017 09:36 | Schlumberger are going to have a busy year,,, as well as joining forces with SRSP, they're partnering NNPC...a Federal Government controlled agency.(The Chad Basin had been drilled about 18 months ago and the results were disappointing. Last November the NNPC said they would not give up and give it another go...there was no mention of Schlumberger then......but there is now.) '... include the deployment of state-of-the-art technology by Schlumberger...' I wonder if srsp will take advantage of the $1bn Schlumberger Endowment research fund?.......you never know? 'He noted that NNPC’s Research and Development Division would also take advantage of a $1 billion global endowment fund for research which Schlumberger instituted.' It would seem to me that Schlumberger are cash rich and have set up a fund to aid struggling entities.........no doubt at a price, as seen from the NNPC deal above....an initial 'collaboration' moves onto an MOU and eventually a 'partnership'. I wonder if this was behind the "JOA" Agreement. Vendor Finance Consortium The Company intends to announce further details regarding the final elements of the financing and operational service agreements, including the Joint Operating Agreement ("JOA"), to support its proposed drilling programme for Ororo. We've seen from the 'Road show' board that it was proposed that Schlumberger will drill Ororo...but since then, COSL have turned up...so where does that leave Schlumberger?, my bet is that they'll be part of the "JOA". The "JOA" implies that SRSP will become joint operators of the ORORO field. (as remanded in the Del Sigma deal) This will mean that with the 40% holding in Ororo will be classed as an RTO hence suspension, new AD and re-classification as an O@G Production company.......and all within the next five months. | htrocka2

13/1/2017 17:30 | I think it's a cantor arranged fundraise dr, the office desk boys getting all exciting because they know and traded 20% imho Cantor gets a discounted placing for there clients, srsp get the money and the office desk boys get a giddy weekend putting things up their noses! | pipelinepete
13/1/2017 17:30 | 26.2 of course it was pre-planned why in heavens sake did we see such a rush up then nothing. These actions don't JUST happen they take a concerted effort by the chosen few and for a reason | solarno lopez
13/1/2017 17:27 | 1 penny. Almost like it was pre-planned. | twentysixpointtwo
13/1/2017 17:25 | MMs were prepared to take 5m at cob yest, 6m at today's cop. A big dollop of shares has been dumped into the midweek spike. Surely ppl in the semi-know, because of the risk of being out when the big news lands. Holding 1p is important because it means the 30m at 0.87p was a buy. For all we know that very same 30m may have been the dump. If you could flog the lot at average 1.27p, someone has just trousered a 30m x 0.4p gain. 120 grand for a week's "work". If Mr Smartass wishes to go back in with his £327k at 1p, he picks up near 33m shares. Could it be that mms want 5 batches of 6.6m to fill the order. You never know what's behind all this dodgy trading. Will there be a 33m at 1p show up early next week, dressed as a sell of course, I wonder? So maybe no 1p placing, just Mr Fatwad making an extra bundle. Seem to recall that F13 held 30m shares ... | dr rosso

13/1/2017 15:31 | So far today, the candles are pointing to a key day reversal pattern. Even a small tick down, would not negate that view. This stock is alive alive oh! | 10p here we come

13/1/2017 13:08 | Cantor projects revenues of £6.95m for its first year of 2017..... | htrocka2
13/1/2017 13:03 | I've got a feeling it'll finish bang on 1p. Can't for the life of me think why. | twentysixpointtwo
13/1/2017 12:50 | Agree it's somewhat irrelevant. Having said that, it would be nice to finish the week 1p or above. | cornishtrader1000
13/1/2017 12:44 | Sp totally irrelevant to the real goings-on. Cantor can put it wherever it likes. It is held at 1p for good reason. £22m mcap is fair value atm based on what's known, but what's known is the tip of a very large iceberg. | dr rosso
13/1/2017 12:39 | And there it is. | cornishtrader1000 |
