TempestTroy, I agree with you on that. My portfolio is made up of green tech. I have a few others in the portfolio but really feel that the green tech sector businesses with immediate revenue potential is the best place to be. Its the future, and anyone generating revenues now is in a great place.

My largest holding is now with SAE and having done more and more research here I intend to grow my holding. Reading the NRW submission yesterday was music to my ears. It has not derisked it anymore but it demonstrated confidence in their capability to carry out the project. It also showed real professionalism as a business.

Very very excited about the next 3 years starting from now !

Best of luck, I am enjoying this discussion board. it is definitely the best on ADVFN that I am involved with !

rogerramjett, yep, just checked LSE and no sign of the purchase just yet although made over an hour ago. I've previously noticed there are often delays of up to an hrs before they are transmitted so hopefully any time now. I have rather a large holding in both ISA & now SIPP so I have a lot resting with SAE. Started following the business last year when I read they had an operation in the Fylde (Fleetwood/Knott end) were I spent many a week there on holiday as a child. I've researched the company to high heaven before taking the plunge in March this year and slowly but surely building my share holding. Needless to say I've high expectations of the business itself. It ticks many of the boxes that are near & dear to me environmentally wise. You might think this an emotional gamble but au contraire. I believe it to be a sound business opportunity in a company that has strong leadership & shareholder values not to mention fantastic fingers in fantastic pies.

TempestTroy, they are holding that one back then.

I can't work out how they make money. Every day we see more buys than sells yet the share price is up and down like a yoyo. It obviously works for them.

I am working on a top up. Was looking at an account balancing but seems to have been erosion in my portfolio leading to an share price in the company I was going to reduce by more than I had hoped.

Nice top up anyway. Must be holding a few now if 50k was just a top up ?

So much positive stuff being relayed on this forum by one & all. I agree with all tje positivity. Just topped up by 50000. Paid £0.2665. Still think this is a bargain.

when funding is in place for Uskmouth, Simec may not need capital for that project. Can't imagine MeyGen will have significant loses due to revenue generation in the millions.

Last few years losses have been consolidated writing off assets etc.

Rogeramjett - Agree entirely. I am happy with the idea of them continuing to lose money (and raise capital) for a few more years to come yet as long as its in the pursuit of rapid growth and scaling up. They have been forced to run the tidal business on a shoe string for the past 4 years but cash flows will be transformed once they reach financial close here. I wouldnt be surprised if they sell a stake in the plant to an infrastructure fund to free up cash to be recycled into the business.

Thanks also for the update on NRW. This is great news! It addresses the one point that was a nagging concern for me and is another significant step reducing the risk for investors. I had originally been holding back some cash for one final investment when it reaches financial close but might bring that forward now given the price is still at bargain levels.

Clabburn. Yes they are still very much in the early stages of commercialisation but putting this development to good use over the next 18 months will reward them with revenues of over £100m per annum.

Forget dividends. I am happy for them to reinvest this into the business and grow the balance sheet further adding greater asset value and increasing revenues.

They have a real good balance within the portfolio. I would love to see them make it and turn the business into a world class organisation. Not just for my benefit as a shareholder but for the fact that they are offering something different which is a cost effective solution to an immediate problem with Uskmouth and tidal power is provin to be a consistent and predictable form of energy which is not a blot on the landscape.

New NRW submission from SAE does today. Postive response to meeting IED emissions

Sort by date and its the latest entries that are new.

SAE have now modified their submission. Changes made seem significantly important as they appear to have changes some of the IED emissions from low/medium probability of achieving to high probability. This is fantastic !!

Also have demonstrated that they can achieve the flue gas temp for minimum of 2 seconds through Mitsubishi Hitachi CFD. Also could be a significant submission or update.

Simec working very hard with NRW to get this across the line. 🤞

Agree. They are a slick team and if you add in the Sanjeev Gupta connection (who is very close to the Scottish government) they have a lot of the trappings of a major energy player. The balance sheet is where they fall short but that should change very quickly if the next 18 months go well.

I dont know when it was made but it is very professional for an AIM company.

Interesting clip re Meygen and the Scottish first Minister and TC together.

Simec Atlantis are behaving in a way you would expect an experienced professional Engineering and Energy business to operate.

Even the recyclable plastic is often not recyclable. Case in point is Lucozade bottles, made out of a type of plastic that is really recyclable. But the plastic wrap with the branding on it is not. Thus the whole thing has to be chucked as the machines cannot separate them.

The only realistic way to fix this is to legislate only one type of plastic can be used for food and drink, and the entire thing, cap and all, will have to be made of it. That's not likely to happen for stupid reasons.

There are two types of plastics. Thermoplastics and thermoset. Recyclable and none recyclable respectively.

Simec Atlantis ate not just lookimg at getting rid of non recyclable plastics but mixed non recyclable waste. So they will be doing th world a bigger favour by reducing or eliminating non recyclable landfill.

One day we may be in a perfect world of 100% sustainability and recycling. That is not the case presently. As we move towards that we must embrace technology that can be used effectively now to get rid of the problem created before we can than fully embrace 100% renewable energy.
