simon_64,
"We all filtered jock over on AA thread makes life easier."

not a bad shout. Not had to resort to filtering anyone before but might do that for Jock. I don't mind everyone having a genuine difference of opinion, but when people clearly ramp or deramp because they have an ulterior motive, it adds no value to any real discussion.

Jock is just trying to get in cheaper. He talked smack about Menzies going down then bought in around 130p. If he's talking down SHI then that means he's looking to buy

Most companies who have a discounted placing will see the share price fall to the level of the placing or below. At the discounted level though the issue of funding has been clarified. The placing price should underpin the share price in the absence of any news as the forward selling and profit takers are out. When you consider the bad news is in the price and as SIG opens up for business as the lockdown unwinds and pent up demand is unleashed then the share price is only going one way.

Jock you obviously get a kick out of trolling message boards and have nothing better to do during lock down. SIG is NOT its usual 123p because of coronavirus... Its not specifically 30.5p due to coronavirus, as the price has already recovered from 17p not too long ago and was over 40p recently. The fact that the price is hovering around the 30p mark is due to the placing price being exactly 30p. Once that round of funding ends, the price will rise immediately after. I'm an amateur investor yet i understand this better then you it seems.. that's not something you want highlighting!

Though I suspect that you knew this already and are just deramping. I was hoping there would be real people on this thread tonight but no such luck.. just lonely ol troll under the bridge.

So it's not 30p due to the coronavirus no ?Just because of the placing ?Haha amateur investors got to love them

Jock, not sure if you're deramping but i'll indulge you for a moment. The price is only staying around 30.5p because everyone is waiting for the placing to finish. Once placing is over, the price will return to the high 30s again. buying at the placing price of 30p (exempt from stamp duty too) is a real bargain. Are you suggesting to us that you don't think 30p is a bargain?

That said, I was asking a specific question about the placing ending and what to expect.. does anyone have a serious answer on this please?

Thanks
Neo.

Does anyone know the exact day that the placing ends? I'm eligible for the 1 for 4 buy in at 30p. The deadline for my selection is this Friday, but the corporate action notice says that the new shares will be awarded on the 10th July.

What im asking is: Is this the day that the market price will reflect the completion of funding, do we think? Or would we expect SIG to release an RNS to let the market know that the funding is finished and what kind of uptake they saw?.. an RNS could also be on the 10th of course but asking on here as not sure what to expect.

Anyone know what usually happens?

Thanks

Neo.
