15/4/2009 10:40 | It certainly looks good for £7 a share when they relist. What is holding them up? There is enough market interest in it now to relist asap surely. | kibes
15/4/2009 10:31 | It,s great how sentiments change over a couple of days. Gone from all doom and gloom to £7 a share. Been in this for too long, got a few thousand if anyone interested in making me an offer. As for you Leeson, one minute you have thousands then suspension and by luck you had sold them all then i read you found a few more under your maths homework book. Get a life and go and kick a ball about like all ten year olds should do. Best of luck to all you holders we might just come out of this postive. | pablo1969
15/4/2009 08:53 | Looks like someone will have to change the thread header before too long... 7 quid anyone? | cmabey
15/4/2009 08:49 | This will fly when/if relisted. | steveofsw19
15/4/2009 08:18 | Now that all the facts are out in the open, i.e. court case, TNKBP may be interested in a take over, Moscow not wanting to sell, I see no reason why the share can't be re-listed as the main reason for suspending the share, a total collapse of the share price is no longer relevant. LET THE MARKET DECIDE on what is fair value for this company. | enabler
15/4/2009 07:11 | In Russia now, it is always some guy in kremlin deciding on any significant acquisition for company that is worth anything in any industry. as regards Sibir - i do not see it being bought by tnk-bp. Govt wouldnt allow a 50% foreign-owned venture buy another one with major asset foreign owned.. Fuzzy logic, I know, but that's how it seems to work in Russia at the moment. | dkourochki001
14/4/2009 20:58 | Sibir is worth more than 600p, Shell has 50% share of the Salin field, and do not think they'll allow TNKBP a rival to take advantage of something they have worked so hard for. So there may be other bidders that would love to have great assets of Sibir( Shell, some Indian or Chinese company desperate for a spot in Siberia rich oil province. If imperial Energy can be bought for 1250p surely Sibir is worth much more. | kabylie
14/4/2009 20:42 | It would be good for this to relist ASAP, at least you could trade it and make some serious cash. | oneillshaun
14/4/2009 20:32 | This board might not have had an approach - the previous board might already have sold the business!!! | stevest2

14/4/2009 11:04 | Comment on Press Reports 20-4.-14.0 The Board of Sibir notes press articles reporting that the Russian joint venture oil company, TNKBP, is preparing an offer to acquire Sibir shares. The Board confirms that it has not received any approach or any offer from TNKBP. | gatdecor
14/4/2009 10:17 | TNK-BP offers to buy Sibir Energy oil firm for $3.38b: paper MOSCOW (RIA Novosti) - The Russian-British oil venture TNK-BP is interested in buying oil producer Sibir Energy for 2.3 billion British pounds ($3.38 billion), a business paper reported on Monday. According to Kommersant, Sibir Energy, with a market value estimated at just 675.5 million British pounds ($992 million), controls half of the Moscow Oil Refinery. However, the deal could be obstructed by the Moscow government's unwillingness to lose control of the Moscow fuel market. TNK-BP launched negotiations with Sibir Energy shareholders in early March, considering the possibility of buying their stakes, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday, saying that the deal would represent a premium almost three times the company's market price. The Moscow authorities, which also have a stake in Sibir, are aware of TNK-BP's plans to buy 100% of the company's stock but do not intend to accept the offer, Vladimir Silkin, head of the Moscow government property department, told Kommersant. "We have held consultations with another shareholder, Igor Kesayev, and decided that our strategic task is to keep our shareholdings," Kommersant quoted Silkin as saying. TNK-BP declined to comment on the potential deal while Kommersant's source close to the company said that the negotiations with Sibir Energy shareholders had indeed taken place. | willessa
14/4/2009 07:26 | Hi all, disappointed that there has not been any formal announcement today even if it was only about press speculation, which makes me think that negotiation may be taking place and that they are waiting to see the outcome before making any announcements (pure guesswork) | enabler
13/4/2009 18:47 | Enabler, sounds like a play to raise the offer price to me. After all, in the bible of negotiation, who accepts the 1st unsolicited bid? (Delisted AIM companies in the middle of controversy excepted of course :). 'We are not interested' is the stock response - but good to hear that Kesaev had no comment - keeping his cards close. I vote for 6 quid. | cmabey
13/4/2009 15:53 | Enabler......agree. Let the market decide the share price rather than some guy in The Kremlin using SBE as some sort of political games or pawns. Better still The Kremlin could match the offer of BP-TNP. | bethany3
12/4/2009 17:31 | Hopefully, at least with this news anyone with any thought of getting SBE for peanuts (know who I mean?) would be well advised to think differently. £6 would be an acceptable intrinsic value I'm sure to most long suffering holders. | bethany3
12/4/2009 16:41 | just realism really david..... but, im just watching with interest. sorry to have come across a certain way... | leeson31
12/4/2009 16:30 | UEN could see a rise on the back of this as well. | matt19
12/4/2009 16:28 | Yep this is Russia we are talking about so definitely not a given, A touch of sour grapes Leeson ?, i know you have been a fan of Sibir for a long long time and i have come to respect and look out for your posts they are always considered and give a balanced view. 12/4/2009 16:19 | i said i have a small amount actually. but, i dont give a fk either way though. already written off, and i'll believe good news when it rally happens... | leeson31
12/4/2009 15:40 | obout time someone with some common sense on this board,I can see others looking closely at this so yes £7.50 up to £8 is the right price sad to see people sell themselves short. By the way, Leeson I'm a bit confused you said the other day you do not hold any shares in sibir --- so this news will not affect you in any way! | thumper1
12/4/2009 15:24 | This has got be the best Easter ever, i really cant believe it, goodness i hope it happens..........wha | davidwilkin
12/4/2009 15:00 | my post 3070 says it all, i would have settled for £3, id all but written half the money off. | davidwilkin |
