13/3/2024 15:34 | Third Interim Dividend The Board of Shires Income PLC has declared a third interim dividend of 3.2p per share in respect of the year to 31 March 2024 (2023: third interim dividend - 3.2p) payable on 30 April 2024 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 5 April 2024. | brwo349
13/3/2024 15:33 | In for a few more at 213.28p with the net assets value currently 250p | brwo349
12/3/2024 13:58 | Divi announcement. | essentialinvestor
08/3/2024 16:03 | Amazing! Zero discount in June, 9 months later it's around -15% | spangle93
08/3/2024 14:11 | Net asset value now 149.5p I bought some more. | brwo349
07/3/2024 13:46 | Very, very cheap down here. | essentialinvestor
07/3/2024 13:41 | Net assets value is now 247.85p | brwo349
06/3/2024 15:40 | Since Aberdeen decided it was in our best interests to merge, Shires have gone from a 4% premium to a 14-15% discount, which is pretty much a 20% loss to shareholders. Can Aberdeen remind us all again why it was such a good deal for Shires and its shareholders please? | citytilidie
06/3/2024 14:23 | Way overdue an upwards move, particularly with the 3.2 pence divi to go XD later this month. | essentialinvestor
16/2/2024 12:45 | They hold CBG unfortunately - from memory it was a bit over 1% of NAV - not now!! | essentialinvestor
16/1/2024 09:23 | I think the merger has completed. I now have SHRS and no longer have ASCI. | pherrom
15/1/2024 15:52 | 1.7% ongoing charge acc. HL (not always right). Doesn't yet show the absorption of ASCI - has that completed? Alters the risk profile/takes on ASCI's discount surely, proportionally? | spectoacc
15/1/2024 15:46 | It’s a decent share with a ridiculous discount, and has a very reasonable and reliable quarterly income. There isn’t much to dislike about it, and at the current discount could easily be a target itself with all the investment trust consolidations going on at the current time. | citytilidie
15/1/2024 15:02 | Hope so, next divi paid in a couple of weeks. | essentialinvestor
15/1/2024 14:47 | Just about every commentator I read says the UK market is undervalued so this is my fund to take advantage of that supposed anomaly. | brwo349
15/1/2024 14:45 | I got 10'k worth a £2.15 and a bit. That's my lot now. Middle East conflict blowing up now a definitely maybe. | essentialinvestor
15/1/2024 14:42 | I'm in again at 216.43p | brwo349
12/1/2024 15:26 | Picked up another few under £2.20. | essentialinvestor
02/1/2024 14:16 | XD for 3.2 pence on 4 January, with a further 3.2 pence this April to come. | essentialinvestor
29/12/2023 16:04 | Dave, POLR is akin to a geared play on wider equity markets - at least the way I would look at it. brwo, if you read back on previous posts, some reasons are dissused re share price performance/discount to NAV- your preference share point is also valid. That part of the market looks to be turning upwards on price. Bought a few HHI before the close. | essentialinvestor
29/12/2023 10:11 | Could try POLR, its finally breaking out now....10% divi and PE of 9....looks very under valued and a AuM update due on the 12th Jan, ripe for a re rate...;-) | davethehorse
29/12/2023 09:16 | Why has this stock performed so poorly this year - down 14%. The discount to net assets value is 10% with the yield more than 6%. It is at odds with UK ITs in general which from my research are now at worst flat for the year. Is it because of the preference shares component, but these are less than 30% of the total. I think this is an opportunity. | brwo349
28/12/2023 15:45 | UK preference shares are starting to be rerated, early days yet. I bought some LLPC before Christmas Shires gives some nice exposure to this area of the market. | essentialinvestor
21/12/2023 16:49 | Agree, but I think it will be sooner rather than later. NAV was 237p a couple of weeks ago and it’s now 252p and the share price has only risen 1 or 2p. The market will soon realise that a 12% discount is far too wide, and I think 235 bid is certainly reachable before this month is out. | citytilidie |
