Bought more - biggish position now - either gets a 20%+ uplift in two weeks or 15-20% fall and slow rise back.

Certainly a risk but one I'm happy to take.

Probable wise, I may do the same. Going quite nicely until the Dow opened, then seems the americans were sellers.

Sold 25% today as a bit of insurance ... +15% on that batch ,not to be sniffed at.

Of course its seems bears think it won't happen, they could be right, hope not though. But if no deal I'm encourage by last quarter figures.

The latest proposal when made was 4900p, now Takeda shares go up and down, ok 4800p at the moment. Could be anything if they make the offer. 4400p or 5000p or pull out of talks, Shire probably back to 3000p who's know what the shareprice would do. The p.e is of course is anyones guest, it was up 47 per cent this quarter so who knows what it will end up if that growth continues pick a number 7.5 or 15.
No misleading anyone there are about 6 posters on here, I don't think they are stupid enough to take any notice on our thoughts.

Monty, there is no 4900p offer.
There is an offer of some cash in USD and some Yen denominated shares. Nothing is being offered in GBP. So everything needs translating and also depends on Takeda share price.

At one point in time it was worth 4900p (and could be again) but it is currently worth less than 4800p.

Please stop misleading people with this as well as your 7.5 PE claim.

Shire shareholders will take this deal, may get the odd fund manager holding out, but 4900p ok surely with most. If white knight of course bonus, I do reckon one will appear over the horizon.

Roche Haven trial is set to update full results some time between May 20th and 24th. I wonder if a big success in that could affect Takeda's view on moving forward with the deal.
