Good day Penycae

Cable trying to cling on to the Daily SMA 200 but weakening. It's heading towards the lower line of the ascending channel at 1.544 which mnay support plus the 4 Hour SMA 200 is also at that location.

US Markets closed Monday which may affect.

Oil gone off the boil for the time being. It will be interesting to see if it rises when the US bomb Syria. You will note I post 'when' not 'if'. I can't see Obama has any choice given his rhetoric.

Morning all.

Was in and out of STX a few moths back, but left it alone since interest on the thread died. Still a good trading stock if you can live with the swings.
Just taken out a short on cable from 15501. Scalped a few points from it last night, but it seems to be getting weaker. They've bought it back up to 15500, hopefully to drop it later on this afternoon. Momentum trade....

I note cable is at the Daily SMA 200 (1.551). If it breaks below then support at 1.542 but I can see why you state it will have some depth.

Nice to see that the refurb. is at least on track!

Out of BP for the minute. Got out over my 451, happy with that as it was a larjwun. If it holds at 445, I might re-enter, but it'll depend on volume.
Watching cable for a break below 15500. If it goes south from there, the move will have some depth.

Portside (from the BP thread) had a tip on VOD yesterday. He did well.

Monkey has done you proud with your BP trade. If US bombs Syria and Iran retaliates by bombing Israel your BP trade might provide sufficient cash to greatly extend Penycae Towers, add a drawbridge and moat and maybe even a duck house.

Mrs P should be happy with GLEN. Could be a new pair of shoes in it for her.

You obviously consider that the market is on the up especially with your view of DOW to 17,000. I still find that difficult to accept but I know from previous experience the market can do the unexpected.

Although I do not trade the news I am aware of tapering, 10yr treasury yield increases and interest rate increases which indicate a fall not a rise BUT these factors may not affect the markets just yet.

In the meantime I will attempt to do what I always try to do and trade what I see.

bracke - Mrs. P happy with GLEN. Might buy a chunk for myself on the next dip (with a spread bet).
Been loading up a few BP, RSA, BARC, HSBA and EMG in the sb account, as I don't want to hold any Forex over the break. I think Cable might catch a few bears unawares over the next week or two, but when it starts to go off, I'll want to be on it.

To-day the share price has moved up above my first target at 312 (fib and top line of symetrical wedge.

Next target is fib at 328 and then the Daily SMA at 337.
