Spot on.

As to SHELL. Might get another opportunity to walk away close to 2450p/2500p before the year is out. Keep holding out for 2500p but the share price always gets hit by negative news in 2400's. Sheesh.

And you think Labour will be better for the working classes?
They're as self serving as the faux Conservatives.

Nothing is free. The overly generous public sector wages(and gold plated pensions) have to be worked for and paid for by the masses.

A LU tube driver on £50-55,000+ is utterly ridiculous. Just as £88,000 for an MP is likewise utterly ridiculous.

Too many people are overpaid for the "service" they provide whilst many at the bottom are underpaid for the service they provide eg Nurses,Soldiers,Fire brigade.

you are the minority in my opinon but good luck to you for trying as thats what its all about trying to better yourself with out relying on benefits as a life style which is the norm today.

Another garbage strategy led company BP is up a lot more than Shell. BP is up 24% in the past 6 months vs just 12% for shell. Be as woke you want at least boost shareholders dividends and returns. And bp has give that 24% return after their $25bn hit to Russian assets. BvB will not be missed. Absolute rubbish his performance has been post covid. Crisis uncovers true leaders and their performance. The Covid crisis for E&Ps has definitely seperated the boys (BP, Shell) from the Men(ExxonMobil, Chevron).

my whole point was benefits as that is the destroyer of work ethic,i often hear today the excuse if you stopped the benefits people would turn to crime.

well years ago growing up there was a huge gap between the benefits available which was paltry then so some people did turn to crime as it was the easy way out..

i could tell you lots of stories..

the selling of the council houses stimulated the economy but the money created was never used to build more, that was the mistake..

immigratio is going to sink this country into a abyss of benefit taking as these people think they have discovered that the streets of london are paved with gold..

Lippy4 yep again fair comment, did not get across what I mean correctly , I mean the real working class of this country, of which I am one, I totally agree with you about what’s happening now, the majority of which is because of the selling of the council houses, the lack of control of immigration which is very costly, I don’t think it’s people are lazy when they are on benefits it’s they are more trapped, the situation now is so stupid in many circumstances you are better off not working than working, that is not the fault of the individual, the whole system needs a big rethink, the trouble is both sides are really just interested in their own jobs rather than the real needs of the country , to sort it out for good.

i get fed up today with hearing all the time about the poor, most of our poor we have now imported by the millions from the third world.

i grew up very poor in comparison to todays what they call poor,we worked very hard even 7 days a week to pay the bills, today they get benefits as they work their 37 hours a week.

what about the rest of the time, there is so much work about today not highly paid but money is money in the pocket..

people have become very lazy in this country and think the world or should i say our country owes them a living..

Next thing the government will be offering a £1000 to frack near your house, never mind it’s devalued by £100 k ,only this government could dream that one up.

Yes but you conservatives say you want a high wage economy, but when people ask for higher wages you slate them for it, whilst at the same time doing nothing to stop higher prices for the consumer . It’s always the working class that suffers most in these times never the better off Fact!

its impossible to make things with out producing the dreaded co2 so every thing going to china was done for cost which now is coming back to bite us in the backside so to speak ..

i was seeing large busineses in my work being hollowed out by this, going into huge factories where there were once many skilled people and its was just a few,on asking where the other were, the answer was its all been sent to china.

this was years ago so there was when the rot set in and the uk became irrelevant..

John Redwood@johnredwoodIn the 30 years from 1990 the UK has done more than any other major economy to cut CO2 emissions, down 46%. The problem is Chinese CO2 is up 381% , at 29% of the world total. Importing instead of producing at home is not a green solution.6:20 am · 8 Oct 2022·Twitter Web App
