06/2/2013 22:32 | Checked to see how the Brokers reacted to the IMS yesterday. Barclays maintained its equal weight with a tprice of 84; Investec maintained its buy but trimmed t price from 104 to 100 and Jeffries maintained its hold with 95. I was surprised the other week it got so far into the 90's; too bad I did not act and reduce my holding. I am happy with what I have and this is something I am happy to hold and get the almost 4% yield. | cerrito

19/1/2013 23:04 | Oh I'm sure there will be plenty of turbulence before hitting 130! Just like to see some overt support from government for anaerobic digestion facilities on a par with the support given to wind farms at present. At present the news is about food waste, energy policy and employment. Although it's a shame that so much food waste goes to waste but I'm afraid wastage will always arise and less than half of councils even collect food waste at present. If food waste is made then at least government support could be provided to councils to turn this waste to energy and this with a national network of digestors will provide a nice slice of our energy makeup. Jobs will be provided in every area of the country not just the south and of course the compost/liquid digestate will contribute to our peat free future. Surely this is worthy of government support? Why does this matter to Shanks? No council, particularly the half that don't treat food waste separetley, will be able to grant 25 year contracts without food waste being treated this way and should proove to be a lucrative area. Mw will be an increasingly important part of Shanks annual report. | cyfran101

07/1/2013 11:51 | I cannot see any specific news event so believe this is about a European recovery stock which after 3 years of decline bottomed at 80p ish. It got too cheap and future prospects will be good if Europe can recover and waste prices start going up again. As ever there is always a possibility of consolidation in this industry and SKS would be a tasty morsel. Since Dec 10th looks like volumes have been more healthy so maybe the rsing price is becoming self fulfilling as this gets picked up on the radar If anyone else any more specifics it would be great to hear | betman
