03/5/2011 10:46 | finally broken 120p, bit of dip this morning but didnt want to go down, spread was wide to deter sellers, volumes up recently, these are good signs for me of more upside, also read that belgium economy doing well in Europe which is also positive, any other views on this quiet board ? | betman

04/4/2011 12:11 | SKS has recovered recent falls, back to 116p. Where to from here ? I would like to think this can kick on to at least 120p which is quite a hurdle but I would have thought that as the European economy gradually recovers then revenues should do the same. Waste dumping costs ( increasing ) are still a key driver for more recycling and SKS revenues. I still think this whole sector is ripe for consolidation but am quite disappointed that there has been no repeat bid for Shanks I particularly like this para from the recent trading statement Growth Investment Programme As previously announced, during the recession we have invested approximately £100m in growth projects. Plans are well advanced for continued investment, with a particular emphasis on the UK market, where we believe the regulatory and legislative drivers are in place to support significant growth opportunities. | betman
30/3/2011 16:57 | thanks betman- dreaded red tape Britain at work!! | craigends
30/3/2011 11:20 | Two analyst presentations yesterday, posted on SKS website, worth a read. I get the feeling that there are lots of growth opportunities for waste recycling / composting but it takes time for planning permissions, bidding processes etc. These will suck in capital but over longer term deliver good profit growth | betman
30/3/2011 10:56 | All very quiet here -mirrors SKS slide. Any news about posters? | craigends

23/2/2011 11:00 | Its great news that despite the financial situation of councils that this sort of sensible waste management programme is still going ahead. I have always thought that this should be a win win, save money and environmentally sound. Lets hope other councils see the light | betman
22/2/2011 12:00 | At least some positive news re Wakelfield plant. Is this outwith the tranche of possible PFI's announced in taking over Unite Utilities exit from this market at end of last year? | craigends
10/2/2011 16:19 | movement up from 14 53 this afternoon, some concerted buying ?? | betman
04/2/2011 10:13 | todays move down to IMS, in my view this is an opportunity to buy in at a good price based on a recovery in European growth | betman |
