You are beneath contempt, using environmental issues as an excuse to make money.

The worst possible hypocrisy imaginable. Utter scum.

I bet you’re not going to refuse the parts of your pension that are funded from water companies and all the other businesses that cause environmental or personal damage.

That would require integrity.

Everything I write is a reflection of my own opinion only, is legally privileged and is written without prejudice.

Severn Trent has a history of both legal and illegal polluting of rivers and brooks.

Under the leadership of Liv Garfield, Severn Trent has caused considerable damage to the fish stocks and biodiversity of several rivers, including one I know well.

Severn Trent has caused significant emotional harm to people I know, who witnessed their pollution event.

Severn Trent has, in my opinion, historically underinvested in infrastructure and has instead chosen to pay excessive wages and bonuses to senior staff. I believe the Chief Executive and those working under her are morally bankrupt.

Shorting is a legal mechanism of the financial markets.

Ethical shorting by more than one short house, working independently of each other is similarly legal.

Dear Severn Trent Shareholders:

Water companies are dumping huge quantities of sewage in our rivers every year. So why do some of the worst offenders have such good environmental ratings? Reporter Joe Crowley reveals how water companies can cover up pollution incidents and how the Environment Agency fails to stop them. He exposes a regulatory system that rarely holds polluters to account and allows failing sites to continue dumping sewage

Enjoy!

Is it ever fair to say that water companies are actively evil? I know the company subject to this report is UU. and not SVT, but we all know they operate the same.

Wreckingball - I'm glad you are saying it, the share price here is insane IMO. The water companies have acted so disgracefully that they are a not insignificant part of bringing a government down. SVT soon won't be paying dividends at all. Moron equity income funds no doubt chomping down in dividends that will disappear in a year.
