Hi
ive never posted on this discussion before ,but i do live in severn trent area.
you must be aware of all the mischevious goings on at svt..
they deserve all they get ..this will eventually filter down to the share price
un- fortunately that will not help the long term share holders..but as for listening to finacial/broker advise you are really missing the point ..you will be worse off ..the stock market isn't logical , it never as been , that would be far too easy..?this will never return to its previous high's ...sorry..

SVT is going down in line with other utilities; a good day for utilities is a good day for SVT. I hope there is a bounce once investers start investing in utilities.

one other thing...if everybroker has a prie target of over £11 on this (most do), and everyone else is saying buy, then why the HELL is this dropping day in day out?
and is at 5 year lows?
has anyone contacted, or tried to get in touch wth the loosers at svt?

- Nick Raynor, investment advisor at The Share Centre, is also cautious. "We expect a correction, so we advise clients with short-term profits on volatile stocks to switch into utilities – like water companies United Utilities and Severn Trent, National Grid and Centrica, which all provide yields in excess of six per cent at the moment," said Raynor. "Vodafone also yields six per cent-plus, much better than cash on deposit."

why shud svt do a rights issue?

I'm almost at the level I got in at, but SVT is looking good. Another strong day or two should be good.

myshares - I was more just going on the fact there hadnt really been any sharp moves up.
But you can check stock borrowing monthly (free) or daily (paid) at euroclear.co.uk (I've not checked for SVT)

Spreadex doesnt do it and my more sophisticated sb programs wont run on this pc

Even if Spreadex did trailing stops, their levels would be so far away from the price!
