Drop in order book was flagged by management (big peak back end last year was a known) who appear to be relaxed re UK pipeline. If anything consensus 2018 forecast profits could go up a tad. No new concerns here for me.

I'm holding all mine, the order book quality as well as quantum is key & the way they're boosting margins is very impressive. The HS2 and nuclear prospects are meaningful too so my guess is turnover from here on will rise slowly but margins will outperform , EV is 12 or 13 which is value and the signs are that India is starting to be more successful and a source of upside going forward. Weak currency should give a tailwind to the export business too

I sold out this morning post-results (with some difficulty over a number of tranches).

There is good news. Cash generation is great, and the divi is better than expectations too. Plus India is finally doing well, and will be boosted by the debt repayment.

But the large decline in the UK order book was a big negative surprise. And EPS was slightly below consensus.

Forecast EPS growth of 8%-9% per annum is pretty uninspiring for the next two years (forecasts are unchanged from Singer this morning).

It's been a great, highly profitable run, but my feeling is that the upside for the near future isn't particularly worthwhile, especially with that declining order book and the shares being reasonably highly rated. Whereas the market could either take against the falling order book, or SFR's sector might stagnate in the current political environment. In which case there's possible 20% or so downside.

Good luck all.

Operationally they've made good progress especially by increasing margin via efficiencies and bringing external production finishing in house - super business.

India looking better and set to contribute - looks like improved and more visible upside here than downside.

Don't know how the market will price this as order book looks weak.

useful little plunge this morning - it seemed overdone so I bought a few more, not at the bottom, unfortunately. I just hope the results next week justify my optimism.

As for the election results - I wonder how long May will survive - unfortunately there don't seem to be any capable alternatives - it does remind me of Jim Hacker from 'Yes, Minister'

Results are in a couple of weeks and we already know they will be good due to TU. CEO health maybe an issue though.

Loads of good stuff here. Grapevine whisper, SFR order book to full to the end of 2018. The big projects haven't really kicked off yet.
