If we are talking about the April 2013 rights issue then yes it was at 23p. I bought more in November that year at 62.9p and again in November last at 70.4p. Whilst I am in profit overall, it is not one of my better investments it has to be said. I am content but it is not an investment to shout about. Hopefully 2018 will change all that. Good luck all.

I have been a holder in this company since 1995, so I have lived through all the ups and downs. I don’t wish to argue with damanco, but was the price of the rights issue really 23p? In my head I thought I had paid 37p. I have bought many more since then, and believe we are heading much further than 90p. This is now one of my top 5 holdings, so I am happy with the action at this time.

Hello fellow holders and posters and lurkers, just a note regarding recent sells.

For those not aware, nearly 5 years ago SFR had a rights issue, at 23p per share. An emergency rights issue, they were experiencing quite serious difficulties at that time.

Many shareholders (at that time) will have taken up that issue (I was one...), and some may now have decided to cash in, making 350% plus on what they paid. Though I'm not one, and believe this company will once again deliver - longer term they are heavily involved in the Spurs and Wimbledon stadium projects, as well as stuff in Europe, the exchange rate having helped winning contracts over there.

I'm quite old fashioned in many respects when it comes to buying and holding shares so a few on this BB will not agree with me. But when I buy, I buy for the long term, not just for Christmas.

jadetici13,

the recent dip was almost certainly due to profit taking by investors who bought in 2016. As a long term investor I am never easily winkled out of stocks. Patience should pay here. The Indian JV has been criticised as a side show. I think that view is wrong ; time will tell. In the meantime, there should be ample work at home.

His track record might not be great but we certainly have some buying this morning continuing the pattern from before Christmas.

Shortly we will be approaching our recent high of around 90. Hopefully we will slice through that and then it's a straight run to 120.

Some decent trades going through at 84 which seem large enough that it's unlikely they are PI's. All good imho

If we do see new highs soon, and I think we should, it all asks the question “ why the big fall from previous highs? “

Yeh but look at the track record of the tipster!
However, I'm a strong believer in this company and believe we will see new highs soon, and the divvies make this very attractive.

The Swiss National Bank bought a 90 percent stake today in Landqart AG, bailing out the sole producer of the material on which its paper money is printed.

Bit of a problem otherwise!

Very nice day indeed. We appear to have now got through the raft of selling at 75ish and once through seem to be moving up easily on low volume

Buyers have got the upper hand on this now as all the flow on the buy side.

Looking good.

It looks to me like there's a bot program searching around for volume. He's got a few at 76 now (look for the delayed trades) so back to 75. I expect if it doesn't get any fills in the next hour it will revert to 76.

Looks ready to move up imo. Targeting 80p here but may well hold for longer as it ticks most of my boxes. Gla.
