Nice and not surprised by that, they did state that even they were surprised at the rate of cash generation. The increase in boed and erskine uplinft were I would suggest key factors. Personally if we were 'taken out' at 177p I would be very dissapointed, my target is over double that in the next 2 years.

This Brent chart doesn't need code changes every month but can be a bit slow to update at times...

Obmuj - try changing the K to M. K has most likely expired. Edit: you'll need to change the letter every month as the front month expires. Save this link for future ref and navigate from there accordingly. They don't all expire at the same time https://uk.advfn.com/commodities/energy

Talking of Brent, my ADVFN NYMEX ticker symbol is BZ\M19 and works fine. However my NYMEX Light Sweet Crude - CL\K19 - ticker seems to be "not reporting/changing" at all.Current price seems stuck on 65.66. Would someone kindly confirm the tickers as maybe mine is wrong due to a change? OR is there a bug on the latter? Thanks

https://www.serica-energy.com/downloads/presentations/Chasing_Giant_Cretaceous_Oil_Prospects_in_the_South_Atlantic.pdf Serica acreage in the Lüderitz basin, diagrams here. Exxon's earlier farm-ins seem to be Walvis basin but can't find any map of where the new licences are.

cfc - can't answer on that. Hope they move it to a better accoustical environment next time, sharpen and shorten somewhat and include the Q & A session at the end, but it's a step in the right direction of becoming an established mid-cap presence.

On another note the delay of Rhum 3 intervention work last May 2017 is turning out to be a blessing in disguise for Serica, I think its now pencilled in for the middle of 2020. Which will mean should it be successful Serica would have skirted round two and a half years of associated production payments to BP.

The announcement by the Trump administration that they were tightening up on countries that import Iranian oil is imo honestly a bit of a non event. Anybody who has followed the fall out of the Nuclear deal and reinstating of sanctions would clearly have been aware that the waivers which were given were only on a temporary basis and on the understanding they allowed a breathing space for sourcing from alternative suppliers. Any comments to suggest this effects Serica are grossly ill informed and inaccurate which is probably why such comments are jumped on here.

Well said Almsivi - you definitely called the waiver spot on - that was a huge chance to make a lot of money. Going forward if we see the huge cashflow of Q1 continue we'll all be laughing.

If you search back far enough, I outlined last year why Serica would qualify for the waiver and why future tightening of oil sanctions would not affect the company. I cited Executive orders, Treasury document's and more - it's a big part of the reason why I doubled down and made bank when many others derisked and lost out. OFACs own rules exempt Gas projects outside of the jurisdiction of Iran if they were sanctioned by a non-iranian govt before 2007, Rhum was discovered in the 1970's, given DTI (forerunner to OGA) sanction in 2003, first gas in 2005.I've repeatedly said this to the point of sheer annoyance, the Rhum shutdown was instigated by the EU in response to UN sanctions. The USA has been sanctioning Iran for the better part of 20 years and it was only the EU that caused BP to shut it in. Precisely because of the reasons outlined above. Please stop conflating US borne Oil sanctions with a shutdown that occured due to a binding UN resolution. It makes those who do look irredeemable thick.

This is your post that kicked it off:I see Trump is ending some of the Iran sanction exemptions.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-48011496Doesn't seem to affect us - yet.If you can't see why the dash and the yet is a red rag to a lot of bulls (and four bears) then frankly, I don't believe you.
