I agree with smokie - this board is very unfair on individuals who have a reasoned argument to make. Three examples: Me with the waiver stuff back last year - even managed to get a ban from the board GG with his gas price updates Smokie with his critical eye.

Many of them recently but have not trawled back months I must admit. Https://uk.advfn.com/forum/search?q=smokieuk&index=posts&post_poster=on I was a long term holder but sold out and bought back in a few months ago, how about you?

BH please point out a negative post from the link I supplied. I don't see any. And when you read that history you will be able to infer that I am a relatively long-term holder though not, unfortunately, as long as some of you.

And I think SQZ may be about to announce a mega deal, but then again maybe not.

lol NPM Hugely tenuous but has some relevance, really! how can something 'Hugely tenuous' have relevance. I think Erskine is just supping on the edge of a giant elephant field, something has to explain why the reserves keep increasing, admitedly its hugely tenuous, but could be relevant.

Your posting history on SQZ seems pretty negative to me, obviously not a holder or long.

I do not have an agenda. I do not have to say whether I am a holder or not to be able to post do I? Bountyhunter, here is my posting history. https://uk.advfn.com/forum/search?q=smokieuk&index=posts&post_poster=on As you can see, I haven't posted much at all, and it's mostly been on Serica (now why would that be I wonder FB?) - where is there any pattern of negativity? You will see that I am a relatively new private investor and quite a few of my posts have asked some questions about fairly general stuff I didn't understand and I may, once or twice, in doing so, have questioned statements made by more experienced investors, and I think I have always respectfully acknowledged responses or corrections. I'm not about to apologise for my post, it was posted because I (clearly mistakenly) thought it might be of interest and, in the future, some relevancy, but I quickly acknowledged responses and explained why I'd posted it. It is, after all, just slightly more relevant than geraniums. Really, there is no need to jump on someone so hard for something so minor.

Trumps announcement probably has more to do with trying to increase US shale oil exports and taking market share from Opec.

The comparison is of apples with pairs and not relevant to SQZ except to say that the OIL price has gone up so we will get higher revenues for our oil production.

Yes, we know all that however that doesn't negate from the fact that Trump has started to pull waivers - it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he may well pull other waivers - it's hugely tenuous but I'd agree that it has some relevance.

Sorry chaps but the whole argument is irrelevant. This is all about downstream oil buyers we do not sell iranian oil, in fact we do not even produce iranian oil. And yes I fully agree that this has been posted with an agenda, so fragile it doesn't even make an argument but does expose the posters.

Why is that important? Are you wanting to pick yet another argument? I just reported some fresh news I considered could have an impact at some point.

OK, I entirely get that, which is why I said yet. It crossed my mind that if Trump is trying to really squeeze Iran then he could, in time, look at what other exemptions are in force.

US to end sanctions exemptions for major oil importers from Iran. Serica or the UK is not a major oil importer from Iran so clearly this is not relevant to UK NS gas production for Serica where 50% of Rhum proceeds are already diverted to an escrow account in any case. Also this is why the licence (which is just for US service support anyway) doesn't just run to May unlike with countries currently permitted to import oil from Iran.
