cfc - can't answer on that. Hope they move it to a better accoustical environment next time, sharpen and shorten somewhat and include the Q & A session at the end, but it's a step in the right direction of becoming an established mid-cap presence.

On another note the delay of Rhum 3 intervention work last May 2017 is turning out to be a blessing in disguise for Serica, I think its now pencilled in for the middle of 2020. Which will mean should it be successful Serica would have skirted round two and a half years of associated production payments to BP.

The announcement by the Trump administration that they were tightening up on countries that import Iranian oil is imo honestly a bit of a non event. Anybody who has followed the fall out of the Nuclear deal and reinstating of sanctions would clearly have been aware that the waivers which were given were only on a temporary basis and on the understanding they allowed a breathing space for sourcing from alternative suppliers. Any comments to suggest this effects Serica are grossly ill informed and inaccurate which is probably why such comments are jumped on here.

Well said Almsivi - you definitely called the waiver spot on - that was a huge chance to make a lot of money. Going forward if we see the huge cashflow of Q1 continue we'll all be laughing.

If you search back far enough, I outlined last year why Serica would qualify for the waiver and why future tightening of oil sanctions would not affect the company. I cited Executive orders, Treasury document's and more - it's a big part of the reason why I doubled down and made bank when many others derisked and lost out. OFACs own rules exempt Gas projects outside of the jurisdiction of Iran if they were sanctioned by a non-iranian govt before 2007, Rhum was discovered in the 1970's, given DTI (forerunner to OGA) sanction in 2003, first gas in 2005.I've repeatedly said this to the point of sheer annoyance, the Rhum shutdown was instigated by the EU in response to UN sanctions. The USA has been sanctioning Iran for the better part of 20 years and it was only the EU that caused BP to shut it in. Precisely because of the reasons outlined above. Please stop conflating US borne Oil sanctions with a shutdown that occured due to a binding UN resolution. It makes those who do look irredeemable thick.

I don't have time to continue with this smokie and have already explained myself clearly. I'm not saying your a bad guy as you suggested just commenting on your recent posts that's all.

This is your post that kicked it off:I see Trump is ending some of the Iran sanction exemptions.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-48011496Doesn't seem to affect us - yet.If you can't see why the dash and the yet is a red rag to a lot of bulls (and four bears) then frankly, I don't believe you.

Lol smokie, more important things to discuss like what's your view on Tailwind that seems to be getting a bit of attention as a Serica suiter, personally, I have little interest in this as I would rather Serica continue down the road of buying off the majors, would also like a greater mix of oil which I'm sure GG will appreciate..lol

OK BH, I'll bite. So when you have time please advise in the top three (or four, or however many suits your argument) pages of my posts, which are negative about Serica (or anything for that matter), and could give grounds for the accusations being made? Please don't just make up posts, please provide a time and date. For convenience, here's the link again. https://uk.advfn.com/forum/search?q=smokieuk&index=posts&post_poster=on

more importantly the share price about to have a second go at the 100% retracement at 133p if it breaks (which I think it will on the back of all our recent news and excellent results) then the next step is a step change indeed as its at 156p

GG I do not doubt your positive comments on this board in the past, which you might find you have been ticked up by me on numerous occasions, however you concentration on the gas price did escalate to a level of annoyance made by a few and coincided neatly with your sale, but heho who's watching eh!

Yes exactly people can look at your recent history and decide for themselves. I don't recall a negative slant in the past but haven't time to look back pages. My comments apply to your more recent posts as I'm sure do those of others.

Well I have gone back months (the list is only 12 pages after all, and Chrome has a search button) and I can't see that one, can you help with a time and date please? I can see I said on 7 Feb 2018 I'm out for a while (which as it happened turned out to be not very long). Not sure what that proves though, I'd already I said in a different post that I had all my eggs in one basket, and I got the jitters. Got any others? Any at all? I'm not about to start listing my positive or neutral comments but anyone is welcome to look at my history and help BH. I'm sorry for dragging this out but I'm a bit pee'd off with being accused of stuff wrongly. I posted something in good faith which I thought of tangential relevance which hadn't been previously posted and end up being made out to be a bad guy.

or put it another way; Waiver I won't even deal with, you know why you got the ban. GG - it was nothing to do with him pointing out the low gas price, it was about the fact that is about ALL he did, i.e. repeated and repeated even after people asked him to lay off. Smokie's critical eye, critical is one thing, posting somthing and then making the as you put it, "hugely tenuous" link is another - balanced arguements get balanced responses, blatent fear mongering is not tolerated, particularly when it is rammed down someones throat, aimo of course as its not my board.
