It seems Boris is some kind of 'whale' in Bitcoin terminology. According to him, on the bid news for Shanta just before Xmas, he closed his position and took an estimated £1.3 million in cash.

Here in Serabi he was similarly over exposed as 99% of his posts this year have been here on this board. If he has sold out here as he says he could have sold £1 million worth of shares, 2%+, this week which has done a lot to crater the share price The reasons given which concern the Chairman's RNS statement don't add up to selling out so there are likely other factors at play.

Serabi is in a sound position financially with 38-40k oz of production being the guidance for this year which will increase net cash as well as funding the development of Coringa and exploration. The trial licence for Coringa has 3 years to run to January 2027 which makes the issue of a full licence not critical in the medium term.

Come on Boris . No need for that . You know there is a lot of good stuff in your posts hidden beneath all the silliness . I own this eyes wide open accepting the risks and owning on risk reward . I hope I am right to do so but am not making any great claims on my level of insight. Good luck with your own investments .

Peel hunt note out today. Updated their gold price forecasts to a mere $2000 this year falling back to $1700 thereafter . On that basis they can cover £17m capex this year out of cash flow and add £5m to net cash by year end exiting with total net cash of £10m. Earnings per share 17p 24e putting shares on 3x earnings . Price target 105p on basis of their current gold price slate rising to 240p at spot (and 24 earnings rising to around 25p). So clearly current share price almost fully discounting coringa license around which there is of course a risk but IMO nothing like the level being discounted. If we think gold price might even go higher then this thing could buy itself back in a few years ....

Extract from chairman’s report ..

Key to this remains the development of Coringa and the installation of the crushing plant and ore-sorter which is a significant element in the growth of the Group’s gold production for 2025 and thereafter. The ore-sorter cleared Brazilian customs during April and I am now pleased to report that it has arrived at site and work on the necessary civil works for its installation and commissioning later this year are underway. At the same time the crushing plant is also being prepared for installation.

Since the publication of our Annual Report at the end of April there has been little further movement in the licencing process. The latest version of the Indigenous Impact Study (“ECI”) has been submitted to the government agency for indigenous communities (“FUNAI”) as we continue the steps required in the consultation process with those indigenous communities.

In the past week I met with representatives of the Instituto Kabu, an association of the Kayapó Mebêngôrokre Indigenous community from the Baú and Menkragnoti Indigenous Lands, situated in the state of Para. It was a good conversation allowing us to further our understanding of the issues faced by the indigenous communities and assist in identifying solutions that can help meet their needs.

Whilst we have challenges ahead and the next six months will be pivotal in our plans, we have a dedicated and experienced team to steer us through this. I look forward to reporting further progress on 13 June.

Boris if you want to do 1 more post then please copy and paste where the chairman has posted a permanent block on the license . Otherwise it might be appropriate the FCA is notified of misleading information 🤷‍a94;️ . Just preserving a copy ..

Have you filtered the SRB Chairman. If the reasons the license process had stopped was not SRB specific, surely he’d have mentioned this. The license is permanently (ongoing 5 years) blocked. He’s not mentioned strikes. Filter all fact and dream on …. recipe for a LOSER

Clown - "little progress" means progress has stopped. It doesn't mean they are proceeding, just that they are making no progress, so progress has stopped. They've not mentioned progress has stopped due to national strikes because they could r say this. It's not true. Progress has stopped because the license isn't approved and it won't be. Don't shoot the messenger moron. I recommended you sell GRL at 14p, you sold at 12p and then complained when it went to 13p. Then you re brought in and it went to 2p and suspended. SRB will not get the license and will declare its production unviable. You'll never learn you utter F Wit!!!

I agree with BBN's points. FWIW, my additional interpretation from yesterday's RNS is that the the indigenous communities are lining-up their Community Programmes aspirations, etc, to collect their pound of flesh during the ongoing negotiations. ALTN went through a similar local sweetening process last year.

Kenny, I think you summed it up nicely. .A renewal of the trial licence (RNS 31.1.24) for THREE years AND the permitted installation of the 2nd OS, are good steps forward IMO. They now have time to patiently work through the various licence agencies, and in parallel increase Au production. Non of which relieves the uncertainty pervading London and the LSE, as we saw yesterday..Unfortunately I will be out of the U.K. at the time of the AGM; a pity, it sounds to be a useful meeting. tightfist

stevea171.. it’s very simple .. Hodgson and Line have not been doing their jobs well and the market has a distrust them of now. The only way they can get over this is up the production and get that license sorted . There is a perception ( me included ) that this has become a route to a nice comfortable retirement for these pair so they need to prove us doubters wrong .

Boris makes up stuff which he posts here to suit his CFD/investment/trader position at the time and then brags about the huge profits he's made from an RNS interpreted by him to trigger a waterfall drop.

He's done this twice in recent times incl this week.

BigBiteNow on X makes reasonable points on the interpretation of this RNS cf previous recent company statements. Points 1-17.
Just points 10-17 follow.
Read them all for yourselves.

At no point did he state there were any new issues with the Coringa licensing process.

But the market being what it is has completely ignored this history and only focused on this.

"Whilst we have challenges ahead and the next six months will be pivotal in our plans..."

Better still the market has attached these comments to the licensing and seemingly ignored the wording on
"the installation of the crushing plant and ore-sorter which is a significant element in the growth of the Group’s gold production for 2025 and thereafter."

It is the success of this plant build and commissioning that lends itself to the "next six months will be pivotal in our plans" statement far more than the licensing process at this time.

That's because he most likely assumed that everyone had read the Annual Report and...

understood that its ramp-up through 2025/26 only depends on the trial license which has already been received.

Meaning it really doesn't matter if the full license is Q3 this year or next. What matters is that it eventually lands and/or the trial license is renewed.

One last point here.

A review of the history of the mining license blockage would tell investors that the immediate approach by those opposing it was to move to block the renewal of the trial license.

Hence why Serabi continued to operate at Coringa on the existing trial license (the basis being it was valid until the court proceedings had been completed) even though it was already out of date.

So its renewal was a clear message that whatever obstacles were left to the full license were clearly now minor because a strong enough agreement had been reached to allow (trial) mining to continue for up to 3 years. Meaning a strong backing from those opposing the mine.

I can make an argument for slightly better wording in the RNS but I can also argue that the market needs to do its homework properly.

But there's is no argument for a 14% drop when gold is trading up at $2,355/oz.

“Little progress” .. the government staff employed on this process are on strike you big dummy. Little progress does not translate to “stopped”; .. totally misleading and stupid quote Boris .. yet again ! The market wants certainty and throws its dummy out at any suggestion of uncertainty . Yes - Chairman has stated the license progress has stopped. Whether the trial license is cancelled or it just expires in 30 months, the business is not viable with only Palito. Palito grades dropping anyway. It's often quoted that is a consistent 30,000 but this isn't true, it's a dropping 22,000-24,000. Better leaving the asset underground than spending USD2000 an ounces getting it to market. Underground asset but obstructive officials. End game.
