Good post RJCDC.I think you are posing the classic question of whether this is a Sales-or Production-led business. From all I've read so far it seems this is a Production-led business right now and management are busy building awareness of their tech solution and from that, demand. Question is how long to build demand that converts to transformational revenue generation?Who knows!

This is not a small startup?!It is a market leader in motion detection targeting driver safety in semi-autonomous machines with funding and back by some big investment firms. The strategic focus should be to continue to win as many contracts and design wins across multiple markets in order replicate the core unique technology in mass market machines. This year the fleet business has been the most lucrative and gained the most traction. Margin were slightly lower due to external market wide factors impacting the smaller rivals too.The potential is big, but what they have done so far, extraordinary for an AIM company. The signs are all there for an automotive giant to sign a comprehensive deal worth more value...I.e include the technology in all its car models. As for aviation, how many emirates planes are out there and a deal there could be transformational for SEE...they didn't release that articles with hints for no one to read it...gd luck allNote the cowboy home traders who get excited when this moves a penny now and again...long picture is this has bagged x5Dyor

SEE links very well to artificial intelligence which is one of the big technologies of the future. Being able to understand the intricacies of vision and even replicate it through AI with the data they are collecting is a big plus going forward.Any industry were human concentration is required is game for them, so huge potential going forward, slowly building on successes.I feel the share price has been hit twice once when they reported component shortage earlier this year and again when they reported actual which was already warned.

'Semicast wrote about an obscure IP company for 20yrs. ARM. Is @seeingmachines ARM2? SaaS and multi-sector strategy suggest opportunity for SM could be bigger than ARM. Auto/transport takes FOREVER and then a bit longer. ARM & SM are tech. leaders in their respective fields.'

Hi RJCDC - post 12379. Agree with your SEE strategic focus concerns. Are they attempting to be all things to all sectors ( telematics / fleet / rail / chip / mining / tier 1-2-3 / OEM / aviation )- at the same time ? Why not FOCUS on the core strategic sectors, the 'cash-cows', and sell-off non strategic sectors.

It's one of those that you feel you can't quite be out of, because it's right there at the margins of new discovery, and has got the industry interested, but has also got loads of things to address.

For that reason I will 'see' it through it's journey unless things change significantly.

Slowly slowly catch a monkey is very apt for this company. I think what we are seeing is the formation of a huge billion dollar company over the next 5 years and while we all want it to happen overnight, quite simply, it won’t.

The RNS yesterday leaves a lot of unanswered questions which would have been eeasy to address. Exactly how is fleet doing, how much does it bring home? What are the gross margins and gross profit (>0 apparently)? Why is cash burn seemingly quite high? What are the sales from rail and air? What’s the pipeline look like? When are directors going to buy shares?

But there is also a great foundation for huge growth too...increase in sales, increase in revenue, increase in opportunities, new offices, untapped markets etc.... and my view is that Seeing are probably struggling to keep up and/or stay focussed and as a result maybe missing out on some opportunities and letting others slip by...... and one niggle I have is that I’m still not entirely sure what the key focus is - is it everything, everywhere?

I think the next 6 months are critical - if there isn’t a stream of news regarding contract wins then maybe that’s a sign that the world doesn’t need Seeing as much as we thought - if the market we are in is hot and seeing are the market leaders then contracts should be flying out the window. If it looks like Seeing are trying to force their solutions then that’s a different game. We need to get to the point where customers come to us, and not the other way round.... that should happen over the 12 months if things go as planned (leglislation etc).

I also think something may need to be done re funding.... assuming there was £45m cash after the fund raise that suggests that £20m has been spent in 6 m months... doesn’t take a genius to work out that something needs to happen year end.... hopefully there has been significant (one off) investment in hardware with those costs to be returned as sales not recognised yet but if cash gets down to say £10-15m then I would expect another round of fundraising, or maybe even another attempt at a spin off - which could be huge.

All in all, I think we will still catch a monkey... and if you look at how monkeys evolved..... then we should all know what the end game could look like.

Apart from winning additional OEM commissions in Automotive in the coming months. It's looking like the value of already won contracts is likely to grow.

"The addition of further models is currently in discussion."

So far only the Cadillac CT6 has been announced for GM (as example), and we already know they intend to add DMS to many future models.

One of the most noticeable trends in telematics has been a shift in focus from vehicle location and routing to solutions that are focused on the drivers. Through monitoring driver behaviour and reducing collisions and actions, drivers are more efficient and can get home safely.
