19/11/2020 13:50 | The spread puts people off STB but you have to ignore it and concentrate on valuation. STB missed all the recent covid bounce and offers compelling value. I have loaded up and fully expect this to double from here by end of 2021. Well managed business this. | rimau1
18/11/2020 14:41 | A post virus recovery in eps to 2019 levels and a P/E of around 11 would give a share price of around £20. | this_is_me
18/11/2020 10:09 | The real spread is much less than the quoted one. | this_is_me
18/11/2020 09:03 | Stb at the coos tail vmuk bgeo, tbcg, mtro, and many more have flew oot the nest this golden egg hasn’t hatched 🦅 | linton5
16/11/2020 12:35 | Patience is always required for stb but those who are will be well rewarded, please please just for one day gents tighten the spread | linton5
13/11/2020 18:06 | I know a lot of people are hanging on every word so here it is, fill your sack up to the brim, the spread has tightened and it's ticking up. For now buy, do not be tempted to empty your sack. | ball deap
12/11/2020 10:07 | Stonking 😜 | linton5
12/11/2020 10:07 | Stinking 🤪 | linton5
12/11/2020 10:06 | That’s for sure stinking buy under £10 to be honest after this years updates | linton5
12/11/2020 09:59 | On the way up again. The spread is just over 2% which is not too bad for an illiquid stock. It is not a share for trading. It is only for medium or long term investing. | this_is_me
12/11/2020 09:13 | Looks like the spread has tightened today, they must have read the comments. | ball deap
10/11/2020 15:14 | I just don’t see any need for such a spread nicl is the same totally puts you off buying for an investment | linton5
28/10/2020 13:33 | Edison latest:- Fair value 1,756p they reckon so still a lot of potential upside in the share price here. | jeff h
26/10/2020 12:15 | Shore Capital predicts Secure Bank shares will double Secure Trust Bank (STB) has seen strong demand for its lending products since lockdown was lifted and Shore Capital says its valuation is too low for a profitable bank. Analyst Gary Greenwood retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and a ‘fair value’ target price of £14.00 on the shares after a third quarter update showed pre-tax profits ‘significantly ahead’ of consensus expectations. The shares were trading at 738p on Friday. He said the current valuation was ‘far too low for a bank that remains profitable, is well capitalised, and which we think has scope to achieve mid-teens return on tangible equity in a more normal environment’. ‘Our fair value of £14 implies scope for the shares to more than double from their current level.’ | jeff h
23/10/2020 08:30 | Good to see Barc impairments are down Q on Q and seem to have peaked. The only material risk to STB in IMO at these levels. | rimau1
22/10/2020 14:55 | Hopefully this will start to get noticed. Based on the updates we are getting, I can easily see this back to £10+ which would still be well off the 12 month high | gc321
22/10/2020 12:17 | The share price is higher than it has ben since June. | this_is_me
22/10/2020 08:09 | Morning all, excellent update. STB is a quality nimble operation that can quickly pivot itself as the external environment changes. Very happy holding at the recent record low levels. | rimau1
22/10/2020 07:52 | Makes no sense for this to be trading less than half book value and under 4 PE. Very solid update. | riverman77
22/10/2020 07:36 | Very encouraging Trading Statement; should help the share price We shall see. R. | retsius
22/10/2020 07:34 | Very encouraging trading update; everything getting back to normal faster than expected. Long term prospects continue to look good. | this_is_me
20/10/2020 14:56 | Trading update on 22nd October. | nick of the north
12/8/2020 14:51 | That bodes well then for keeping the coffers stocked up. I'm sure the rate they are getting on their lending is significantly higher! Will be interesting to see where we are in 3 months time. To think people were paying 17 pounds a share for these back in January, this is such a good buying opportunity.... | gc321
12/8/2020 11:00 | Good call GC321, one to add on the dips and tuck away, we have a brutal 12 months ahead but STB have fallen too far. I noticed yday that STB are top of the best buy tables for a one year bond paying 0.95% | rimau1
12/8/2020 09:50 | Have been quietly accumulating these. My target is £10 a share with some dividends next year (once they resume) as the cherry on top! Managed to get in at 608 but average is about 750I take it all the 1 and 2 trades are spread bets? Other than the obvious decline in profits, there was nothing else in the recent update of concern. They seem to be well in control of their business, still gaining clients and making a profit. The impairments will include people who took payment holidays. This will include people who took them but didn't need to! Good luck all :) | gc321 |
