Indeed and having done it to a large extent with Salamander and most recently farming out Kertang to the largest Japanese Oil co they dont have anything to prove.
Its a bit off topic but I was very impressed by the Jamie Ward interview last week where he was basically suggesting that finding the right people with the right ideas is key to making money on the markets. Its not often somebody impresses me but he did. |
Agreed - Nick and James aren't here for a few quid - they've got big visions - probably of all the stocks I hold this has the best opportunity to go from £20m market cap to hundreds of millions but it will be bumpy! |
Well ..as they've sent out a smoke signal its reasonable to assume there must be a small fire burning nearby .?! |
Looks like you are onto something here guys |
Menzies and Ingrassia have history in Thailand of course..
Maybe another JV with Enquest ? |
Interesting thanks for that. Now why would seascape tweet that if they're not in the running |
And Thailand too ? |
More to nibble at eventually ? |
Nice to see this heading back up. Great value at these prices.Cash |
Loading up for what promises to be an exciting year ahead for Seascape, on several fronts. Good luck all |
Encouraging news. |
Depends where it trades. <30p starts to look very tempting. |
I don't see any great rush to buy more at this point. Arguably, the best play was a trade during the run up to farm out news... But hindsight is 20/20 as they say. Whilst they might be hungry for more deals, they're not exactly swimming in cash even when the farm out completes so their hands are tied to some extent. |
When do I buy more? 28p? 24p? |
WOT NO FARM IN?
WOT A LARGE PLACING ON THE HORIZON? |
Where did those tr1 holdings that was talked about go |
It's a view. We'll see how it pans out. |
Totally agree with you ZengasIt's ludicrous I see Nigel has gone from uber Bearish to talking about 200% premium takeovers. I can only assume he has recently taken a position here ... |
We'll see. There's some close alignment here. I'd be amazed if they hadn't considered it seriously. |
Couldn't see them buying SEA in any shape or form unless 2A came in on a drill result and even then it would be pricey and competitive.
Why would they pay 70p or £42m/$52m for SEA when they picked up 42% of DEWA as well as operatorship for virtually nothing/same terms as SEA - versus SEAs 28%.
They're likely to pick up something similar possibly in the next bid round at near nil cost without having to buy up SEA at that kind of money when they can both bring assets to the table and derisk them on a reasonable percentage share each.
They have enough to be doing imo with their cash flow and net debt stands at $321m end June. Their own valuation never shifted on the much greater DEWA award to them. |
Flush out shareholders and get on with it. Certainly they might start at 70p. |
Why on earth would they bid 3 x the current price ? I have never come across a takeover at. 200% premium to the prevailing share price!Makes no sense |
Enquest should just bid £1 for seascape and be done |
There is a new tweet from Seascape's official twitter account (see:
"Congratulations to our partner EnQuest for expanding gas sales from Seligi to deliver new volumes into the Peninsular Malaysia gas system to help the nation meet its increasing energy needs. Great to see EnQuest's long term commitment to Malaysia after signing the DEWA PSC alongside Seascape in October. Full release here: "
Enquest announced its expansion of the Seligi gas sales agreement on 17 December 2024. |
