No worries for me here as my average is well under 20p .I held Cove through the ups and downs walked away with a 10 bagger on my small investment there.Sea reminds me of Cove, the big price will be on 2A drill results in 2026 |
Nah, still have't sold a single share. Just telling it how it is. This is AIM, people buy the trade then sell on news. Now it's a waiting game. There will be drift, and I hope to buy more, but we all have time now, loads of time. |
I think you sold out and want back in cheaper. Just my opinion. Good luck to you |
looks like that new short position is in the money. |
A slow rise to 100p by this time next year will do. i hope the institutions who took small initial positions through the placing buy more in the market as JM also said in the q&a. for 2025, 1. 2A farm-out completion expected by end of q1 with the stamp of PETRONAS. 2, DEWA field development program 3, possibly a third project to be added. |
Yup - he'll likely do that but might as well wait until he needs to. |
Whether he exercises the share options now or in the future they will still only cost 23p and he can wait.
If he wants to increase his exposure and he believes the stock price has further to run then the right move for him is to buy additional shares in the market while they are still cheap. |
Why didn't James Menzies exersize his share options at 23p rather than buy at 37p? |
I expect fwd selling, these people should be given the stock IMO. Looks like fwd sell was undertaken via CFD |
It might have made a lot of sense before the news given the very ropey balance sheet but that has been addressed now. |
Who would short this🤷♂️ |
According to the research tree short interest tracker Alvar Financial Services Ltd opened a short of 0.91% on SEA on 2 December 2024.
If you go to the Alvar Financial Services Ltd website they provide retail online trading services through intertrader.com as well as prime brokerage services.
So Alvar or one of their clients is taking a view with an approx £200k value position that the stock does not have much further to run and will run out of steam.
Or perhaps it was just someone forward selling and this short will be reversed in the coming days Alvar or one of their clients take delivery of their shares. |
PR from Inpex about their deal with SEA: |
Investor Meet.
Bizarre anybody would be selling sub 40p. (See Slide 13 at 16.30 in)
Great assets.. Great people ..what more could you want ? |
Trying to predict the short term share price is a fools game, only likely to end up with egg on your face. Longer term trend I think you can predict with more confidence |
Third time the bid reached 43p and got sold into. Unless they come up with another deal, this will be it for the foreseeable future. |
Guess it'll drift once until the speculative crew are done. My sense is there's a wait but a fairly free run at a huge field. |
I hope the institutions just joining us buy more directly in the market. Hold tight and top.up on price weakness till 2A gets drilled |
'We just don't know - All things being equal it will be 2026' re Kertang drilling as it's in the hands of Inpex.
'With a fair wind first gas for DEWA 2027'.
Might drift until the next deal or deals.
Either way, cashed up for the forseeable future. Dewa gross development circa $200m and should give a net 5k boepd to SEA. I'd expect a RBL element. |
Great stuff. Well done to the seascape team. Almost £1.50 hard value they identified |
As soon as the slide show finished the share price started to fall. That's it on the news flow for the foreseeable future |
Share price all over the place |
Exactly. The high risk is no more. The DEWA clusters are the key in my view - not so much Kertang. They now have the funds to monitise it, and cash flow for growth.
This is very similar to the fortunes of Serica, and build up from the lowest point of sub 10p to eventually reaching the heights of circa £5, albeit with a drop to today’s levels. |
From rns monthly spend is GBP 250k and had about GBP 1 million left. Therefore good to raise the GBP 2 million and that brings total cash to GBP 3 million now. |
Confirmed as I said yesterday - they would possibly have run out of cash without placing. |
