OPERATING LOSS = £881k for the 6 months ending 30/6/15. That's what the latest SEA a/c's state.
Explain to me, Stockriser & Reesyheli how SEA can be generating cash at an operating level if the latest a/c's SHOW SEA MADE AN OPERATING LOSS OF £881k!! |
SEA is losing cash hand over fist. READ THE LATEST BALANCE SHEET. The OPERATING LOSS for the 6 months ending 30/6/15 was £881k. Turnover of CONTINUING OPERATIONS was £1.838m. Cost of sales were £1.692m. OPERATING expenses were £836k.
Maybe it's just me but if I was going to start lecturing someone at least I'd learn to read a balance sheet first!!
TURNOVER of CONTINUING OPERATIONS = £1.938m. COST of SALES = £1.692m. OPERATING EXPENSES = £836k. OPERATING LOSS = £881k. All companies have operating expenses. They include admin costs, directional costs and promotional costs
HOW IS THAT GENERATING CASH AT AN OPERATING LEVEL??!!
SEA is losing cash hand over fist at an operating level. The figures contained in the latest Balance Sheet prove it. That's why SEA had a Bank Overdraft of just £22k at 31/12/14 and had a Bank Overdraft of £461k at 30/6/15. Who knows what the Bank Overdraft is now!! |

Unless I'm seriously mistaken R2S are generating plenty of cash right now.
Unfortunately it's all being spent on Directors salaries and assorted freebies meaning the company isn't actually generating any PROFIT.

Firstly I can read English. Secondly if the cash is being "spent on Directors salaries and assorted freebies" THEN IT'S NOT GENERATING CASH!! NAME ME A COMPANY THAT DOESN'T HAVE DIRECTORS?

I have no blood, but I am bleeding to death - talk about ambiguous statements! |
Reesy, exactly my point - Pap needs to know the difference between generating cash, and profit. He is implying that SEA are not making any cash at all. |

"Hello, my name's Ron and I'm looking for a decent broker"
"Oh yes sir indeed we can help, may I ask what shares you currently hold?"
"SEA and LOGP"
brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
"Hello, Hello.....?" |
Stockriser. SEA started 2015 with a NEGATIVE cash balance of £22k. At the 30/6/15 that NEGATIVE cash balance was £461k. So in 6 months SEA's cash balance DECREASED by £439k. SEA had borrowed £22k by 31/12/14 to cover that decrease in it's cash balance. During the 6 months to 30/6/15 SEA had to borrow another £439k to cover the cash it was LOSING. Hence by the 30/6/15 it's borrowings stood at £461k because it was losing so much money!!
Learn to read a balance sheet, Stockriser. |
Do you think you should be investing in shares, Stockriser, if you think SEA are generating cash? Do you know how to read a balance sheet? Have a look at the latest interim results for SEA. Have a look at the Cash Flow Statement contained in those results. SEA is haemorrhaging cash at an alarming rate such that:
"SeaEnergy began the year with a small overdraft. At 30 June our overdraft stood at £461,000 of a facility of £650,000. The Company has an agreement in principle for additional working capital funding, to reinforce its financial position before the anticipated upturn in 2016, and expects to make further announcements on this in due course."
PS. Stockriser. Learn to read a balance sheet; that's more important than charts. |
Pap, are they not generating cash now? |
When will SEA start to generate cash from their operations, Stockriser? That's what should concern shareholders, not their job adverts. |
I was a bit concerned when SEA indicated that they were diversifying into the nuclear sector, especially with all the implications of +vetting etc. However, I noticed that one of photographers (S.Hill) employed by R2S had experience of defect photography on nuclear submarines in the 4yrs prior to joining the R2S team. Having worked in the nuclear industry, I know he will have the clearance to conduct the work carried out at Dounreay.
It's also worth noting that one of the desirable qualities required for the post of ICT Development Coordinator advertised by SEA is " Experience working in an ISO9001 accredited environment", which I still say was a prerequisite to working in the nuclear industry. |
Looks like JAW needs some help to recover from this disaster. |
Relevant experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working at a corporate level with:
Disaster recovery and business continuity implementation, .. maintenance and implementation of Group Policies
Oh well that's all good then.... |
That puts paid to any potential profit in 2016 no doubt. |
An opportunity has arisen for an ICT Development Coordinator for an Innovative Offshore Energy Services Company |
752 shares sold that's quite a drop , must mean the new flower pot isn't as good as the last one possibly a b and q special :) |
He's going to be a happy bunny.

I presume this profit forecast, ....
Clucking bells now korki's been on the little weeeeeed as well? |
Information such as this(imho) should only have been released by way of an Interim Management Statement(RNS) available to all shareholders. Not through some limited audience PR outfit............................ I can hardly believe the Nomad is impressed but then this is AIM........
I disagree with Nigel and presume this "profit forecast", rules out a Private Placing. |
"the phones are beginning to ring again" now that we have paid the bill after cutting the tea lady's hours and pay. It means we can only sup tea 3 times a day but load up on the bickies when she isn't looking. Happy days :) |
The only ringing we ever seem to hear these days is that of the 'sell' bell. |
