Don't think it's an exhaustive list, Buywell. BGF also shareholders of Getech, but not shown on their website.

Why would you want to be taken out at 60p?

SDI is always compared to JDG - I bought that at £1.40 average, still hold now.

The power of this business model can be very strong if executed well.

From Annual Report dated 27th july 2018

Number of ordinary shares/Percentage of share capital

Business Growth Fund 10,769,231 / 12.01%
Octopus Investments 7,706,430 / 8.60%
Miton Asset Management 5,089,930 / 5.68%
Berenberg Wealth and Asset Management 4,658,873 / 5.20%
Canaccord Genuity Group 4,081,834 / 4.55%

But I see no mention of SDI in the current BGF portfolio

BGF dropped to 10% 17-Aug-2018

I think BGF have sold their holding ... IMO some entity has acquired probably their 10% and maybe the whole 12% plus another , 2.2% from Octopus and , 1.8% from Miton

Circa 16% of SDI ... no RNS

Due to recent price action and volumes and certain RNS's, IMHO :

Scientific Digital Imaging (SDI) is now 'in play ' I think they are going to be acquired themselves this time. Before the next set of results is published ... ie we don't ever get to see that Turnover got to north of 16.5M and record EPS of over 2.82p hit.

PS

Which is a shame as they are doing so well and IMO would have made 100p within 3 years as of now .

Others have seen their potential .... with a weak GBP , I expect the acquirer will be likely either German or American ... as I have eluded to before.

SDI is a new purchase for me. Forgot to post over my tweet to ADVFN.

SDI (SDI Group PLC)
*New Buy

After freeing up some funds following sales in DRV & AVG...next small purchase is SDI.

Shares down (-20%) since Nov 2018 despite v strong interims. Thanks to @private_punter & @EricUKinvestor for flagging.

Summary of my positives & negatives👇🏻

SDI
32.75p
M/Cap £30.3m
EV £29.4m
SR 86

FY19e (Apr-19)
PBT £2.6m
Cash £1.7m
EPS 2.4p
Prosp PER 14

Positives

* Strong FCF +5.4% in H1 2019 with cash generation +103% in H1 2019 to £1.5m (vs. £750k H1 2018)

* Rising EBIT Margin in H1 2019 was 18.6% (vs. 17.4% H1 2018)

* Strengthening ROCE of 14.1% in 2018

* Geographical diversification - split of revenue by destination mitigates downturn in any one area or any Brexit related impact (per 2018 A.R. - note 5) = 33% UK / 21% Europe / 19% USA / 23% Asia / 4% ROW

* Positive Organic Rev Growth of 11% in H1 2019

* Strong PTB growth +42% H1 2019

* Positive outlook, “comfortably in line” for FY19

* Likelihood of further earnings accretive acquisitions - No potential acquisitions in current forecasts but a reasonable assumption that any acquisition(s) will be accretive to earnings as previously.

Negatives

* Brexit - per finnCap, “Despite strong interims, we leave forecasts unchanged, mindful also of the potential for Brexit-related turbulence despite (SDI) having prepared for a hard Brexit.”

* Static EPS growth in FY19 - Tax rate has now normalised from 5.7% in 2018 to c.17% in 2019 resulting in minimal EPS growth in 2019 (est.+0.2%)

* Lower Margins in Sensors & Controls (46% revs) - OP +14% to £0.9m BUT margins declining 2.9% to 24.9%. (NOTE : finnCap, “There were no specific reasons identified to account for this fall, and is understood to relate to slightly lower margins on Sentek as a result of 5-year OEM contracts.”).

* No Dividend (makes complete sense with current acquisition strategy)

* Normal Company Risks - Standard risks concerning reliance on key distributors, competition & currency risks. Plus of course, the standard risks concerning an acquisitive model surrounding integration & cost

Kind Regards,
GHF

MM's playing games- will not budge from 34p - but looks as though Octopus_ if they are the sellers sill have several millions to clear so could this be a mark up to get PI's to rush in on the "last line of stock clearing"? But possibly (imo) new stock being deliver Monday - Have a great weekend everbody.

News in today about unusually high incidence of Alzheimer's in Kern County California USA

...... Alzheimer's and the dumping of sewage waste called biosolids THE LINK .....

It's not rocket science ... if prions are present in people who have a form of CJD and many are carriers ... or present in Cattle carrying BSE , then contamination of sewage via drains carrying blood from homes,hospitals farms and slaughter houses ... carry prions to the sewage works where prions remain unaffected by the sewage works processes ... and come out as biosolids which are spread on fields to produce crops.

A case in point in Kern County USA California where cases of Alzheimer's have rocketed in recent years ... WAY above the USA (already high/ 2nd in world) national average of Alzheimer's sufferers.

Alzheimer's Association bulks up presence in Kern County amid rise in cases

21st Jan 2019

'the number of people 65 and older in Kern County estimated to have Alzheimer’s disease in 2030 is 19,726, an 85 percent increase over 10,645 people in 2015.'

Why so many ?

City of L.A. Secures Trial Decision Striking Down Kern County Biosolids Ban

''The City of Los Angeles led a coalition of Southern California public agencies, farmers, and contractors in the lawsuit against Kern County to protect their long standing use of biosolids as a fertilizer and soil amendment on farms in Kern County. The City owns a 4,700 acre farm in Kern where it has grown feed crops with the aid of biosolids for over 20 years.''

Prions cause Alzheimer's ... it's a prion disease ... it's transmissible

Which is why it is now raging out of control in the USA and even worse in Finland

Yes Finland .. the country with the highest rate of Alzheimer's on the planet

Do they use lots of Biosolids on their fields and crops ? you betcha they do

''Finland and Sweden are top offenders in Europe regarding sewage dumped inappropriately. People there live and play near the Baltic Sea, which is one of the most polluted bodies of water on the planet. Sewage mismanagement generates most of that pollution. Sewage is polluting their food and water supplies. As a result, Finland has the highest rate of Alzheimer’s deaths in the world. Sweden is third. Norway just became the first nation in Europe to detect chronic wasting disease in wildlife. The entire Baltic region is a sewage nightmare.''
