10/1/2008 17:17 | tanners - no problem - trust no one................. | holmess
10/1/2008 17:10 | LOL.....it was a bit tongue in cheek! I tend to read virtually every post - helps get a good idea of what agendas people may have and who knows their onions! And there's always the odd very informed post from someone in the know/trade......just gotta spot it (no jimmyc - not u fella!). | tanners
10/1/2008 17:08 | holmess - read my post again - I never said I had a '10p target' on these, as indicated in your post above. I said I saw them having 'support' at 10p - a clear difference. CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2008 17:06 | A MEMBER of staff Thanks for reading though ;) | holmess
10/1/2008 17:02 | holmess - 10 Jan'08 - 16:47 - 146 of 150 ....... Listening to BB posts is a recipe for disaster. It sure is holmess - and judging by today's action no one believed your post about the staff buying shares! | tanners
10/1/2008 17:01 | 'Support' is a line below which you believe a stock will not go. It doesn't mean you expect it to go that low, it's a 'maximum fall back position' . I think the support will be there at 10p bear minimum. It may be higher than that. Doesn't mean that if I think support is @ 10p it's going to get there. I've had a punt of 15K on the stock bouncing before 10p. I might be right or wrong. What's the business worth? if they still have a stack of cash it's worth well north of 10p possibly. If there's a bidder for the company what's it worth? A big infrastrcture and well known brand name valued @ £15m with sales of £100m where the Chairman just bought 500K shares @ 105p. What's that worth? If it's not stable and losing shedloads then not a lot. Stable, making a profit with a bit of cash behind it then in 2 years time it might be worth 5-10 times the current value as Freddy says. All I know is the worst I'll lose is £4.5K if I'm wrong to have a 'punt' (and it hits my 10p support), if I'm right I might make £50K. Risk v Reward. The 'support' level has nothing to do with it other than what the maximum I think I can lose is. CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2008 16:57 | I am not saying he is not entitled to post what he thinks - but such a rapid change of stance is similar to many of the pump and dump merchants on ADVFN. I think CR has proved over the years to be above that level. | the big fella
10/1/2008 16:49 | Be careful, i can't tell you a public forum. Be careful. | jimmy c
10/1/2008 16:44 | Sorry, what doesn't do me any cred? I guess it's something about me if Gravey's saying it but he's filtered, I refuse to unfilter him. CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2008 16:43 | maybe CR is taking a short term trading punt to close before they drop to 10p | kristini2
10/1/2008 16:42 | Well Barn Owl, it's a complete punt. I'm sure there's value in here of 10p+ or so as the bear minimum - just a question if there's a lot more and the sell off is over done here just through shorters getting on the band waggon. I only had 15K but it's 15K at a third of the price Frauddy got them at. CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2008 16:42 | It doesn't do his credibility much good, but it's dog eat dog on ADVFN. | the big fella
10/1/2008 16:34 | Decided to take a high risk punt on these at, 25% off all furniture and shares! Good luck all brave punters. | barn owl
10/1/2008 16:29 | I've bought a few down here as well. First time ever in a furniture retailer! | holmess
10/1/2008 16:27 | UK Freddy, I've bought some right down here on a punt that the Chairman isn't completely off his head buying 500K recently at 105p. I'm prepared to lose the lot if I have to, or treble my money. Complete punt on the Chairman being sane! CR | cockneyrebel
10/1/2008 16:13 | interesting 70k trade | mister md
10/1/2008 16:11 | millionairefools - 10 Jan'08 - 15:47 - 133 of 134 is the company going bust, the problem is this one has £44m debts. It needs over 4m profits just to pay annual payments. Oh dear me - a little knowledge........ | tanners
10/1/2008 15:58 | Thanks - millionarefools, perhaps LAN or WLW might be worth a small punt in the bombed out retail arena at some point. | barn owl
10/1/2008 15:47 | is the company going bust, the problem is this one has £44m debts. It needs over 4m profits just to pay annual payments. This one is in real trouble. | millionairefools |
