have they paid off suppliers to make the company more appealing as a takeover target.

Can't see them raising much cash in this market without current shareholders being wiped out completely.

LAN is in similar trouble.

SW - I dont think they can UNLESS there is a massive rights issue, the way they burn cash they will need to raise at least £30 million which will almost wipe out existing shareholders

how they gonna make the june rent demands?

seems a bit silly to pay all the suppliers off IMHO.

So at the end of Jan this year they had £14 million in cash

"Cash and cash equivalents 14,965 "

Now £4 million - do the math , in fact I think nearer 2 months cash left , this is dire imho

yep, but DFS seems to be running all the time.

Pure punt here Arthur imo, but I'm you have to have the odd punt rather than investment for the thrill of the white knuckle ride :-)

Frauddy, I'm a buyer, not sure why you're a bit touchy?

I just feel these turn here - my reply was to Arthur LF.

I know you don't take much note of charts as you love catching falling knives but the chart on Friday gave a buy signal and today the breakout confirms it imo.

Is the guy who owns Stancroft out to get these and Land of Leather to merge with his holding in both? I'd have thought there could be some good cost savings for both co's if they do. I bet both manufacturing centres aren't busy. Get rid of one and move all production to the other. Make some of the larger stores shared premisis and close the poor performers that are close to each other.

Crookney, if you have 500k of them, a penny rise (or fall) means £5,000...my average cost is 99p, am i bovverred?
