28/3/2013 10:55 | personally I will be glad to see the back of AIM. It is a market designed by Lawyers/Accountants for Lawyer/Accountants and offers zero liquidity. Right now the market makers are buying stock at between 0.28 and 0.40 and I know for sure of a buyer wanting to pay 0.50 for decent size but not being able to buy any stock so market makers taking turns of 70% are hardly a good advert for the AIM efficiency and commercial value. I have traded in Vienna a lot and the system works well once your stock is with the correct custodian. | woodgate3
28/3/2013 10:10 | moving up With all due respect I think your question is irrelevant. There is no reason to vote against the removal from AIM. The directors have listed their reasons in the RNS and it is difficult to argue against these. It is in the interests of the company that this happens and as a shareholder there would be no benefit to it not happening. If they were to keep their AIM listing it would be an expensive distraction and could hinder their progress going forward. I think there is so much weight of the vote coming from Austria and an overwhelming apathy over here that this will happen regardless of what you or other active shareholders want. If I were you, and you truly want to remain a shareholder, I would sort out an efficient method for trading these shares on the new stock exchange and review your news feeds for this company going forward. If you still want to ignore my advice, here is the information to your original question: 'Pursuant to AIM Rule 41, (i) Delisting can only be effected by the Company after securing a resolution of Shareholders in a general meeting passed by a majority of not less than 75 per cent. of the votes cast by Shareholders (in person or by proxy); (ii) Delisting can only take place after the expiration of a period of twenty Business Days from the date on which notice of the Delisting is given; and (iii) a period of at least five Business Days following Shareholders' approval of the Delisting is required before the Delisting may be put into effect.' 25/3/2013 19:42 | Minerve do us long and loyal share holders get to vote on weather we should stay on the AIM market, sensible reply please | moving up
24/3/2013 21:43 | Why would it be time to leave? I thought, given the potential for increased audience, it would be time to hold. Exit later, when value disappears. That is, if there ever was value! :) | minerve
23/3/2013 11:42 | MailOnline - Is it time to invest in UK growth stocks? New rules offer tax-free savers the chance to AIM wider The market's growth stocks will be given a boost by two Government initiatives one put out to consultation before Wednesday's Budget and the other unveiled during the Chancellor's speech. The abolition of stamp duty for shares on London's junior bourses will occur in April 2014, George Osborne said, while equities quoted on AIM should be eligible for stocks and shares ISAs. A de-facto ban on boosting your tax-sheltered investment portfolio with UK growth stocks has always seemed a little perverse. Fellow investers is now not the time to be leaving the AIM Market? 21/3/2013 11:03 | Hi share_shark, hope all is well, oh the heady days here. I thought I'd got rid of them all an age ago but had a letter from Charles Stanley (they found my new address). I still have 1300 - I wonder what they were worth before all the crashes and dilutions? Think I'll just hold for £10.00... Just need pork belly to make an appearance now.. | uppompeii
21/3/2013 08:36 | Thank you moving up and hope you are well too. NO............... left SCO. Made up ALL my losses in other stocks but mainly in CICR, which went from 0.06 to over 12p at one stage, in one year ! Still a much undervalued stock which delivered a 4% divi last July and increased its asset base from £150k to over £23mill in one year (after nine years hard work behind the scenes). It is doing 3 IPOS this year and another 8 next year out of a planned total of 27 IPOS. A unique model and Modus Operandi. Only been listed on AIM since NOVEMBER 201O also!. Registered in Canada. Listed on Aim. Based in Beijing China for cheapness and contacts there. Very good luck to all shareholders here. PS oh yes I have had my losses too. | share_shark
20/3/2013 19:58 | Share Shark are you still with us Dear, hope you are keeping well. | moving up
20/3/2013 19:53 | Minerve, you forgot (2) Shareholders looking to make a 'negligible claim' due to miss selling of a high risk share by a self interested broker,abrahe00, Plasy, your opinion please. on a more sound note Scotty up today I think there may be deal news. PS Minerve You may need to change your short position. | moving up
20/3/2013 19:37 | FT - 20 Mar 13 Budget 2013: Stamp duty on Aim shares abolished ignore the CGT exempt part as it doesn't apply to SCO anyway | jack shit

20/3/2013 14:58 | Price up 66% and still no stock around! | woodgate3
20/3/2013 09:50 | woodgate3 There could be many reasons why there are a few available most of which I think you might find are negative. Here are a few: (1) Market makers not wanting to hold much stock; (2) Shareholders looking to make a 'negligible value claim' as against a regular 'CGT loss claim'. (3) Shares have fallen so much that there is nothing to lose other than to hold on and hope. Beerbandit Thank you for the description; I am sure some of us are weirdos but it wouldn't be because of this thread. I find it 'weird' that people like you are not even interested to find out why we 'haunt' this thread? Perhaps we might save you a lot of time and money. IMHO & DYOR | minerve
19/3/2013 22:20 | Don't criticise those weirdos. In the end the entertainment they provided over the years turned out to be the best thing I got out of this company. | mikekay
19/3/2013 21:25 | Thanks for your info mikekay, obviously most of the wierdo's that haunt this thread don't even own any shares in Scotty! | beerbandit
19/3/2013 21:24 | I have quite a few (i know, mistake!) so thought I would average down. Suprising how few are available even with all the negative sentiment. | woodgate3 |
