10/4/2018 15:09 | What a great share. Sold from my growth folio, retained for income; guess which wins. On both counts. No wonder its popular. | brucie5
10/4/2018 13:20 | contract announced earlier for SCISYS Deutschland GmbH. German division should protect us from Brexit: 'This contract underscores and extends our position as a key solutions provider at the heart of European satellite-navigation programmes.' | mfhmfh

09/4/2018 15:48 | This company is proving to be one of my better buys over the past 6 months or so - naturally now wishing I had bought double the quantity at around the pound mark! It's been around for quite a time - I once held it as part of Coda-Scisys before they split. It has a reasonably steady but distinctly unspectacular record with some setbacks but not life-threatening ones. Finally it seems to have established some momentum with sensible add-ons and a healthy reputation in the right places as a reliable partner in mission critical projects. There is always the possibility of a project or contract hitting trouble and I don't expect the p/e ratio ever to hit the dizzy heights of some companies in more easily scalable technological applications. A reasonable breadth of interests is some safeguard against a feast or famine existence. Provided it doesn't over-reach itself, therefore, I believe there may well be further opportunities for complementary acquisitions where their experience and contacts would have the ability to catalyse progress of other small innovative technical companies - more specifically, those that find life difficult negotiating the treacly field of organisation/governm Do I have any potential targets in mind? Well perhaps - but that is for another day and you may be able to think of your own... PS: Further to the tax rate comment in the previous post, it may be noted that a number of potential target acquisitions may come with eligible tax losses. | boadicea
09/4/2018 07:54 | Space division shines | Edison, 5 Apr Free Access "SCISYS posted strong FY17 results, with revenues rising by 25%, including c 9% organic growth and c 5% at constant currencies. The Space division stood out, generating 18% growth in both revenue and contribution. Operating profit (excluding associates) rose by 41% to £4.5m, partly benefiting from hedging arrangements, and the operating margin expanded by 90bp to 7.9%. The outlook is encouraging with the order book 41% ahead at a record £91.3m. We have cautiously maintained our profit forecasts, mainly due to the uncertainties relating to Brexit on the Space division, while our FY19 EPS eases on higher tax rate assumptions. .." | davebowler
03/4/2018 13:16 | Ok, I haven't got round to reading it! Thanks. I was beginning to feel a little nonplussed by the recent decline, having bought it for an income folio I help run. Small divi but growing profits. | brucie5

28/3/2018 22:29 | Agree, only my thoughts expected a bit more. | montyhedge
27/3/2018 09:41 | Not really a problem is it though, more of an opportunity. They've only paid for the performance they've got. | yump
27/3/2018 08:41 | The results are indeed good but I see that Annova Systems, although it performed well in 2016, is not now meeting the vendors' expectations expressed at the time of its acquisition and the deferred consideration has been reduced. | varies
27/3/2018 08:03 | "Comfortably In Line". Everything seems to be going to plan. Good Cash Flows, Reduced Debt, Strong Order Book & Confident Outlook. Happy Holder!👍 | martinthebrave
27/3/2018 07:44 | I like this company - they are always conservative in their forecass | zipstuck
27/3/2018 07:32 | Given their performance and such a well run company, a p/e of 15 on this year's forecast, would still be quite modest. There's a load of dross out there with higher ratings. | yump
27/3/2018 06:34 | Can't ask for anything more than that. | yump
27/3/2018 06:22 | Great results with a bright future. All IMHO. | mfhmfh
06/3/2018 11:49 | Nice couple of buys coming in someone paid 132.556p. | montyhedge
05/3/2018 13:21 | Couple of more weeks until the figures. Then take off. | montyhedge
27/2/2018 13:17 | yump Must admit I will be amazed if this company is not taken over next few years. | montyhedge
27/2/2018 12:38 | Should be good here yes. For some reason while musing about this share I went through a word association... Space flight - explore - experiment - dog - monkey - Trump | yump
27/2/2018 11:51 | Lol, what was the name of the first monkey to go into space years ago. Joking aside this must have a great future the Scisys Space Division. | montyhedge |
